You invent a weapon...
Let's say you design a new weapon, one with the potential to take the lives of hundreds of millions if produced. Your invention will be revolutionary, being developed and used by all military. It will replace our current arsenal in a way that firearms replaced bows & arrows.

1 ReplyI'd share it. If it's replacing the current arsenal of all armies, then the playing field is still level, so it doesn't have much overall effect. The gun was only devastating when one side had it, just as nukes were only devastating when one side had it.

Make sure it never sees the light of day. Even if I am paid, I'll probably be killed and/or assassinated. Also, this invention will spur more war, which would promptly ruin everyone's life. Including mine.

3 RepliesI wouldn't do it as much for the money but for the chance that like any weapon created, it'll make war so terribly unbearable that it will in a way prevent war. That's probably a quote from somewhere, but no idea.
