Why do many Christians hate gays?
Wasn't that Leviticus verse in the Old Testament? You know, the same book that says eating shellfish and cutting your beard is a sin?
I thought Christians followed the teachings of Jesus Christ, who obviously refuted a lot of the Jewish traditions in favor of more personal freedom and love for all humanity.
Jesus never said anything bad about gays... Least I don't think so...

26 RepliesA REAL Christian doesn't hate gays. We just see it as a lifestyle that should not be led. I'm a Christian and I have friends that are gay. I don't tease them or make fun of them but if they asked me what I thought about it I would tell that that I don't think homosexuality is all right. I still accept them as a person, I just think thy are making a bad decision. We can all make bad decisions.

3 RepliesMost Christians [i]don't [/i]hate homosexuals. Some might think it's not a great way to lead a lifestyle, but few actually openly oppose it. I have a few gay friends, one is even my cousin. I know that my friends also aren't opposed to homosexuality.

We don't hate gays. I think whatever you want is up to you. But it doesn't mean I have to be part of and/or like it. This doesn't mean I hate you, just that we believe differently.

I think, though I could be wrong, but I think it's just people in general all over the world regardless of their religion that are uncomfortable or hostile towards homosexuals.

It's not my business to judge a person based off of their sexual preference and honestly I doesn't even bug me.
