Prediction: New Bungie Podcast next week!

Not that it's confirmed yet, and not that I'm trying to heap pressure onto DeeJ or anything, but it certainly seems like Thanksgiving Week is the perfect time to release a new Bungie Pocast! I believe this because... 1) We know from this tweet that Bungie has been doing something for the podcast given the contents of the tweet and the really intricate looking recording equipment on display. 2) In the distant past Thanksgiving week is one of the weeks that Bungie would either gut down or skip the weekly update as everyone is out of the studio and enjoying time with friends and family. In lieu of that, I expect that Bungie will post a new Podcast instead as those things can easily be recorded in advance and saved for a rainy day, much like how the last podcast was released while DeeJ and friends were off in Europe. 3) Next week will have been about a month after the last podcast which was about a month after the podcast before that. Not that they promised us that they would have regular releases, but why break a streak? With that being said, what are you guys hoping they will talk about next? The 9/24/13 Podcast covered weapon lore and some weapon mechanics (namely ammo systems), the 10/25 Podcast Summary talked about World Designing with the Moon / Mars and a bit on the Engineering side. Personally I'm particularly hopeful for this Podcast. As you can see above, the previous podcasts were deeper dives into topics that had already been talked about on the Bungie Blog, be it the Destiny Design Boards or Bungie's focus on the Moon in October. One element of the weekly updates that they've begun to focus more on, especially with the most recent Weekly Update, is the Weekend Champion, which has mostly been teasings of Destiny's competitive multiplayer and strategies used to secure those victories. Especially as we've not had an introduction to the brushstrokes or design pillars of Destiny's competitive multiplayer, this might be a perfect storm for a truly delicious morsel to be served alongside Turkey over the break. ...Or maybe I'm just hyping this up and they'll just end up talking about Mars. But I would love to hear some musings on the Metagame, there's not even really a need to go deep into the details. What roles do each Class occupy in the world of Destiny? What sort of Supers or other abillities do they get to help bring that flavor and design to life? What sort of overlap exists between classes? What type of weapons do we find in the Sandbox and how are they useful? What were lessons learned with Halo's multiplayer that will be used in Destiny? I'm excited. What about you guys?

 • I kid. But the evidence does align with the stars so there may be some hope for another hour of chaotic conun-drumming cataclysmic creations (what did I just say). Thanksgiving is also a great time to settle down, enjoy the news, have some turkey and beer and share some laughs. For the next podcast, whenever that is, I'm hoping for a clearer look at the time from for the beta. Not only how long it may be but a possible month that we're looking at. Since we're working our way towards the VGA's quickly, I wouldn't be surprised if we're going to see a steady push of new Destiny information all the way until public beta time. There also may be an option for Bungie to tease what else is coming down the pipes for their new Sony community. We'll see what happens.
