Many of us want Halo 2 re-made graphically, but what few of us even consider is a re-make of Halo 3. It very much could use an update. But is the game to young or is it just right? Of course, if it wasn't as much as a dull game, would you buy it? I think I would. I would love to see it retextured.
-
OP, how can you even ask this question? Halo 3 is perfect and I love it the way it is.
-
Halo 2 first
-
I think remakes should only be done after about 10 years since release.
-
Maybe a few years after a halo 2 remake. There isn't a good reason not too. Making a good game look better and function on a next gen console would please a lot of fans.
-
Well h3 has basically the same graphics as h4 so there's really no need. Halo CE and 2 however look like shit compared to halo games designed for the 360 vs the original xbox .
-
Personally I think a 10 year anniversary would be the best.
-
Yes, I don't like the cartoony graphics
-
The fanboyism for Halo 3 on this website is too damn high!
-
No. We don't need any remakes, not even for Halo 2.
-
It's too young.. It's graphically suberb, and you know that they wouldn't just remake Halo 3 in it's entirety. They would remake the campaign, and for Halo 5 or 6 or whatever, add like a handful of maps.
-
too young, let them do Halo 2 anniversary first. I think 2016 would be the minimum for a Halo 3 remake. 2017 would make more sense though, Halo CE anniversary came out in 2011 which is ten years after the initial launch and if they do Halo 2 anniversary next year it will also be ten years after launch. Halo 3 was 2007 so it feels quite a bit too early for that
-
There's nothing about 3 that deserves a remake
-
I'd rather they just shut down reach and halo 4s server, so everyone would go back to 3.
-
How about something original?
-
Why would you remake a game that is still being supported on Xbox Live? So you want them to remake a game that also already has the original version still being supported which is going to be for some years? The reason people want a Halo 2 one is because the MP for it got shut down. Unless you have the PC version or you lan you can't play it. but with Halo 3 you can. Here's a better idea. How about they come up with new Halo spinoffs instead of doing pointless HD games and milking the Master Chief? A Halo version that's a mix of Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield would moist likely draw in more people and keep the population better.
would you buy it?
Why woulkd I? I already don't play it and it's still being supported.
-
How about something that isn't an obvious milk.
-
Why remake something you can play right now? The reason people want a Halo 2 remake is because you can't play the multiplayer over Xbox Live anymore.
-
Edited by The Random: 10/25/2013 5:41:53 AMNO. A Halo 2 remake would draw the line. After that, anymore remakes would be stupid and pointless.
-
I'm waiting for a decade from now when the series conclusively ends. They'll release the ultimate edition, with every game updated to the current console, graphics and gameplay. Every map from every game would be included. It would have a life-sized statue of Master Chief and cost $10000.00.
-
Re-release maybe in a few years. Remake, no. The differences? Halo: CE Anniversary was a Re-release with a shiny HD skin put over it. Remake is a new version of the game mostly built from the ground up.

Fill in Halo related stuffs where Pokemon related stuffs are.
I got what you meant, but it's still impossible, the reason why is because of what defines a remake. Say we remake a game from 1990 again, give it a whole new engine, graphics game-play, but it's still that beloved 1990 classic. It gets remade in 2008, and it's nearly a whole new game. It then comes out, a new generation of people enjoy it and maybe Veterans as well, and it's done. The game has been remade once and there is no point to doing it again. A remake is only a remake if it's done once and expands on the original. Remaking a remake is, for lack of a better description at this time for me, near pointless. You wouldn't spend thousands upon thousands upon a game or movie, remake it, then do it again in another ten years. The point of the remake was to leave a good taste in the audience's mouth that it is now perfect and untouchable. If they remake Gen 3 in this case, then what's to stop them from remaking Gens 4 and 5, possibly even 6 down the road? You do a remake if the first iteration failed, you shouldn't do a remake every few years just because you feel like it, that won't make money. And that's why you do it right the first or second time and finish. I don't think Gen 3 was a failure, I remember it because Ruby and Sapphire came out as I was in Elementary school exactly on my birthday, they were fun to me. But remaking again and again will not sell, and they hit that limit after the 2nd Gen when technology became great enough for them to do what they needed to. It isn't outdated or bad enough to warrant a remake, and if you want to play it again you can, and that's my thoughts on it.
Too soon, Halo 3 still looks too good to justify a remake. Plus we know that 343 will take a big artistic shit on it if they could, replacing classic designs with their horrid reimaginings like the Chief, Forward Unto Dawn, Warthog and Covenant designs.
-
No, no remake for at least 9 - 14 more years, it is still a current gen game with decent graphics,. If anything, please remake Halo 2 for current AND next-gen with original multiplayer, not Halo 4 or 5.
-
Halo CE was too young for a remake IMO.

Edited by Balazeal: 10/25/2013 3:03:07 AMThere's really not much to touch up.The difference wouldn't be very dramatic.
