Everything Burns Ch.6: Sending a message

"Come on Ayra! no one's gonna die! all we're doing is sending a message!" Ayra was siting in the Citizen Nothing's co-pilot chair, holding the detonator to a giant napalm explosive on the top floor of the Tower. She was slightly shaking, and at the breaking point of crying. Rain was trying to ease his team-mates into this 'going rouge' type of working. However, Ayra and Vahlon have had a terrible dealing with what Rain did to Captain Zhao, and since then have had a extreme phobia of Rain. "Come on Ayra! you'll be fine, it's just a button press then; poof! problem overcome!" Ayra was still thinking. Rain then got up to the flight controls and flew the ship outside of the City's walls. "Ok, Ayra just real quick! one button press!" she continued to shake. Rain knelled down next to her, "Please?" Ayra burst into tears, and covered her face with her hands. Vahlon then shot into the room. "Rain?! what's going on?!" he walked towards Ayra, but Rain moved in front of Her. "She's just getting used to the job." Vahlon took a step back; he could sense the extreme anger in Rain's voice. Rain turned to Ayra and tried to look her in the eye, but she was still crying and covering her face. "Shhh, shhh, You're fine..." Rain picked up the detonator off her lap and wrapped his hands around it. "It's ok" he was playing with her hair, "last chance Ayra, you don't want me angry do you?" She continued to cry. "PRESS THE FU*KING BUTTON!" Rain threw the remote at her, it hit her chest. Vahlon went to punch Rain, but he anticipated Vahlon's attack. So, he spun around and grabbed Vahlon's hand with his synthetic arm and crushed his fist. Vahlon cried out in agony, and fell to the ground, clenching his hand. Rain turned back to Ayra and picked the detonator back up. "If you want something done right..." A giant orange and red cloud shot up in the air above the Tower, showering the remaining part of the building with debris. "You got to do it yourself." Rain sat down in the pilots chair, and headed back to Venus. "Ok! Which one of you decided to leave us for dead?!" Rain, Ayra and vahlon had found Fire-team Zeta (Most of which were titans) beaten them to a pulp, tied their hands behind their backs, shoved them in a line, and put them all on their knees. "I'm gonna kill some of you until someone answers!" Rain placed his revolver on someone's fore head. "WAIT! don't!" a Warlock at the end of the line said. "Oh! a taker!" Rain walked over to him, he was wearing a big blue trench coat, and battered black armor. "So, what happened?" The prisoner cleared his throat, "We had no choice, our c-" His voice was drowned out by a bullet piercing his face. "BULLSHIT! What really happened?!" You could hear a pin drop. Vahlon walked up to Rain, "Rain, they aren't talking. we should just leave." Rain ignored Vahlon and walked in front of the prisoners, "I'M SICK OF THIS! WHAT HAPPENED!" One Big white-knight of a titan stood up, "We were ordered by a higher ranking officer to leave your team, and return to the City." Rain admired the man's bravery and asked; "Really? who was this higher ranking officer? Mr. Titan?" The titan stood up taller. "lieutenant Leonardo Green" Rain thought about this for a minute, "Hmm... you may leave." The titan was surprised, "Really? thank yo-" Rain blew the smoke off his weapons barrel. "You may leave this EXISTENCE!" He turned over to Vahlon, "Prepare for take off, and get the weapon systems ready." Rain stepped onto his ship, and walked into the bridge. A Black trench coated figure was sitting at the co-pilot's seat. "Ayra, get ready for take off." "My names not Ayra, it's crow." "Vahlon; arm the rockets. Crow; Spin the ship around, we need a clear shot." They both responded with 'Yes sir'. Rain removed his helmet and walked over to the main window, he wanted to see it himself. The ship spun to face the tied down prisoners, "Vahlon, open the tubes" "Opening in 3...2...1..." Giant explosives packet's of death shot out of the left and right sides of the ship. Showering the Guilty Fire-team in utter destruction. "Everything Burns." Rain said under his breath. After a minute of fire and bright lights, Rain turned to face his crew. "Well people, get ready to double your efforts, we have a LOT of work to do." Vahlon couldn't even begin to comprehend the guilt and hatred he was feeling. "Well, at least it can't get any worse right?" he thought to himself. Ayra shot out of her chair and kissed Rain full on the mouth. The hatred Vahlon felt towards Rain tripled. "We're going to find Leonardo."
