"This place smells awful!" Rain agreed with Ayra, Venus does smell terrible. Rain, Ayra and Vahlon (A.K.A. Fire-team X-ray) had teamed up and took Rain's new ship-The Citizen Nothing-and gone to Venus to help out a group of guardians clear out some of the Vex. "Alright, Vahlon, go up on that ridge and wait for them to come, Ayra; you're with me." Two green acknowledgement lights winked on Rain's HUD. Fire-team X-ray was positioned on the top of a special hill where a team of Vex were supposed to come through. The hill was surrounded by jungle, so it was pretty easy to hide up here. There was also a large cliff to the left of the land ramp that led into the jungle, so Rain had Vahlon set explosives on the ramp, and set him up with a rocket launcher on top of the cliff. Rain heard rustling in the bush's to his right, and Ayra came out holding her shotgun; 'The Dead Horse'. "You took your time" Rain said. "Hmph" Ayra responded. "So, what are WE doing?" She asked. "WE, are waiting" Rain then pulled out his new pulse rifle; 'Lightning' and looked at the ammunition gauge, it read: 50. The maximum amount the weapon could hold in the magazine. Rain's radio crackled; "Fire-team X-ray, this is Fire-team Zeta, standby for most recent report." Rain put two fingers on his helmet and switched to F.T.C. (Fire-team COMM) "Fire-team Zeta, this is Fire-team X-ray, Copy that last" Rain used the magnification system on his helmet to zoom in to see the bottom of the hill. "Vahlon, be advised, we got Vex coming up the ramp, Oh crap. A LOT of Vex." Rain flipped on his weapon, and took aim at the faint brown figures in the distance. "Fire-team X-ray, this is Fire-team Zeta, we are sending you some backup." "Hey guys, we got some help coming, Didn't say who, or what the help was though." Rain told his team. After a few minutes, Rain saw a large, heavily armored Exo step out of the jungle behind him. Rain got up off the ground and said, "i'm assuming you're the back up?" The Exo walked up to Rain and stared at him. "Alec, what do you need support with?" the Exo said. "Short and to the point, I like that" Rain responded. "Well, we need help with the Vex that are coming up this hill." Alec pushed Rain aside and looked down the hill. The Vex were slowly, but surely, advancing. "This? you need help with this?" Alec said almost in disbelief, "WE didn't call for your help!" Rain said angrily. "Ladies! Ladies! please, have your cat fight somewhere else" Ayra walked in-between the two arguing powerhouses. "Mphm" Alec unsheathed a long blue blade, that caught Rain's eye. "Where the hell'd you get that?" he asked. "Oh, wouldn't you like to know?" Alec said. Rain could fell Anger boiling up inside his stomach. "Uh, guys slight problem, the Vex disarmed my mines." Rain re-directed his attention to his man on overwatch. "Alright, thanks for the update Vahlon." Rain looked back to Alec who was sharpening his sword with a rock. "Look, 'Alec' the Vex disarmed the mines we set up, and are advancing up the hill, so get ready." Alec stood up and pulled out a Fusion SMG from his waist. "Arya? you ready?" Ayra stood up and loaded her Shotgun with 7 shells. "Ok. let's go" Rain, Alec, and Ayra stood in a line, weapons raised, waiting to bring the pain. "Alright, on my mark." Everyone's finger tensed around the trigger. "3...2...1...MARK!" A collection of pellets, bullets, and energy projectile were thrown back and forth between the guardians, and the Vex. The electronic lifeforms kept falling down, exploding, and getting torn apart, by the seemingly infinite stream of bullets. Eventually, a larger Vex, 3x as tall as any of them walked up to face the guardians. "VHALON! NOW!" A rocket came hurdling towards the towering beast, and bounced off of it's energy shield. "AYRA!" Ayra started to glow with Purple-smoke-like energy, then she shot up in the air, and brought down a giant nova bomb on the beast's face. The Explosion threw Rain and Alec back into the jungle dirt. Rain lifted his head up just in time to Alec tearing the Vex apart with his sword; Literally. Rain flash-steped into the carnage, and summoned his glowing white blade; Hurricane. Rain charged through a group of 5 Vex, cutting them all in half, then Ayra threw a flare at circle of 3 of them. All three Vex were incinerated in the blink of an eye. "Finish 'em off!" Rain yelled. Alec stabbed his sword straight through one more of the Vex then Vahlon shot a rocket at the remaining 11 monsters. After all the blood had been shed, Alec stood up from on top of a Vex corpse, and said "looks like those Vex weren't very bloodletting" "Good job everyone" Rain said. "Alright, so now wha-" Rain was cut off by Ayra screaming: "BEHIND YOU!" The last thing Rain saw was a Rocket hurdling straight towards him, then everything went black. Thanks for reading everyone!
