Me playing LoL - "Wargamr, ur build suuux"
So I was playing league of Legends earlier today and the build I use (for Ashe) is a build that takes a little while to complete, and in the end it all works out perfectly.
So, my build wasn't completed and and somebody on my team told me to get rid of some stuff, because ya know, he knows how I play and how to make a build for me. So, I found that annoying. Towards the end of the game, I was one of the higher scoring teammates on my team (not #1, but like, 2 or 3) and my build was completed, and everything out perfectly, to my pleasure, and to my play style.
So I mean, people telling me how I should play a game really annoy me. I don't play games super seriously and take the game seriously (I mean, I do want to win, but I'm in it for the fun). I'm probably for the most part a casual gamer. So people telling me how to play a game really annoy me.
Have any of you experienced something like this? Not in particular to League of Legends, but just in general.

5 RepliesMost people are used to standard run of the mill builds and refuse to accept creative and unique builds. I remember how people would call me a noob because of how I refused to build Zhonyas on Morgana. Instead I opt out for Liandrys and Rylais for max torment with eventual Deathfire and rod of ages. Honestly, I ignore people who tell me how to play without good cause( I'm open to suggestions, but not being forced to do whatever.)

I actually got some fanmail last night :D From a team-mate which was even funnier. It was Rush and I was bombing the enemy with drones constantly and was going 20+ to 0 every game for about 4 hours. Then I get a message from a guy who was 1-4 saying PTFO. Many lols were had. He kept shooting my Ammo Crates but after idling for a while he left the server and I carried on Drone Bombing. 27 - 0 and one victory later I decided not to rub his face in it <.<

12 RepliesThe hornet ring back stabbing Dark magic using folks in Dark Souls in the forest PvP area are annoying. And it's worse when they come in pairs. I almost considered becoming a ganker once, and being an asshat by one shotting poor folks with Dark Bead. But then I began to learn. Now backstabbers are no longer a problem anymore. I can walk up to Dark Bead users with nary a worry, as I have great magic barrier on my side. And I can stun-lock gankers and push them away with force and wrath of the gods. Divine Claymore is my god weapon. I don't care what other folks say, that sword is just so god damn flexible in terms of attacking it's kinda ridiculous. No one ever said, "Hey, trash your trash setup and go for Dark Bead and Pursuer spam." or, "Go for flippy hornet ring build using the strongest weapon possible to get a oneshot on backstab or riposte." But the rate folks use them sure had me considering doing so. Then I said, "why the hell would I do that?" Those people can probably do it better than I can, and I've always done better as more of a heavyweight character. So instead I learned how to deal with backstabbers because of my slowness, and fend off from OP magic, and for the most part, fighting a battle where two people are out to get me. And I gotta say, it's fun when I come through and earn myself a victory. Watching a person panic when they can no longer cast Dark Bead is so satisfying. But the best is stun-locking a backstabber. I can [i]feel[/i] the panic on their end as I continue to swing and chop away at their health while they're stuck.

"Nick, brodude, quit sniping like a little bitch and get in the tank!" If I want to stand up to do my work, I'll stand up. If I want to play fingerstyle music, I'll play fingerstyle. If I want to lure the other team around our impenetrable wall of tanks to make the match a lot more interesting, sorry pal, but I'm gonna have to ruin your day, because I don't find it very exhilarating to have to sit stationary in a tank for the next 20 minutes. and i dont care what they say bow on dark souls is a very valid option

Gems are truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous. On a side note the LoL community can be pretty toxic most of the time. Its best just to ignore them. Unless of course you are in fact losing the game for everyone.

Play a fighting game it doesn't matter HOW you win because to them you're a random and you spammed to get that win also you're a -blam!- as well

Been wanting to get back into LoL lately. It's been about a year since I've played.

I played a few games before like 8 or so. My last game just about my entire team was raging at me for three things. 1 going for the objective instead of kills. 2 waiting for the little minion spawn before advancing 3 hitting the enemy at a range. Why my team was getting mad at me for this stuff I don't know but I stopped playing.

I hate when im playing 2v2 or 3v3 in starcraft 2 and people get so butt hurt if you make the most tiny mistakes. Like seriously i thought team games were meant to be for fun >_>

I play that way too. When people tell me that i have crap in my inventory or whatever, i usually just ignore them. Unless I try to learn the game mechanics and try to really get into the game and shit. But my only time i can play games is the weekends for the passed 3 or so years. So i really dont have the time to invest in my games in that manner.

It's those kind of people that make me avoid matchmaking in LoL like the plague, at least by myself. I usually only play actual matches when I have at least 2 friends playing with me. I'm really not very good at LoL. I occasionally have a good night, but usually I'm in the same boat as you, I just play for fun and don't get super bent out of shape if we don't win. Other people though... sheesh. I get all kinds of crap about how wrong I'm doing everything, and okay, constructive criticism is fine, but don't be a jerk about it. Luckily I do have the rare night that I play well, like I did last week when I had an awesome time tanking with Volibear.

I prefer mages like ahri so when ppl tall me my early game mana regen items are shyt, I tell them to fk off. Those items will eventually turn into Seraph's Embrace, a OP item that is hard to get. Unless you ask for assistance because you dont know how to setup champ x or y, just dont listen to them. Heck, I got yelled at for using attack speed items like phantom dancer and others like lynch bane. Two almost critical late game items for a ashe.
