This post is about enemy types, and rare versions of those enemies. I think it would be a cool idea, if there was a rare version of each enemy in the game. Out of the thousand encounters of vandals, dregs cabals and so forth...bam...all of a sudden a weird special looking version of a normal enemy pops up. the rare version can be slightly more difficult to fight, but the main aspect of the rare version enemy is what that enemy will drop for your loot stream. Some items of the game can totally be dependent on a rare enemy type. This really hypes up rare hunting and the anticipation of finding a rare enemy or even a rare boss. Not only that, but this also gives much more replay value to all areas that you would have already covered and might not go back to. One thing I was disappointed in....was the enemy boss Rixxus the archon slayer, the fallen boss from the e3 playthrough. (hope I remembered the name right) Now...don't get me wrong he was a bad@ss! and looked sick!....so let me express what I meant by disappointed. I noticed he was included in the rare trading cards that were given out. Not only that but there is some lore to this enemy. This character seems pretty damn cool...I don't want to just fight him once! so...another aspect...could be...that he doesn't die during your first encounter...he runs away when he's about to die but still drops loot..cursing you saying "we will meet again". Or....(this works for both cases) if we do only fight him once...if we could replay that "stage" multiple times..in the "hopes" of a "rare" version of him popping up (a beefier more difficult and strategic attack pattern ie higher difficulty or level)..defeating him would perhaps drop an entirely different legendary item for you...OR...the same item, with slightly different or better stats. (the rare version can also just be aesthetically different, but same level, attack pattern etc. with a noticeably different "skin" or some kind of difference in how he looks....doesn't have to be major... let me hear your thoughts on this, if you think it could fit in the destiny universe.
