According to [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G40gNJsr1So]this video,[/url] the Carbine will win out if you're in a point-blank fight. However, looks to me like the BR user choked on firing a burst in the first fight? Regardless, this is if you're standing completely still. Nobody is going to have 100% accuracy, so it comes down to who misses a shot first. I suppose you also get more time to reposition your reticle for the next shot with the BR, but with the Carbine you don't get time in between shots to compensate for strafe or cover, or you might end up being too slow.
