Creepiest things that have happened to you.
Well I was setting traps out in a field at my cabin and a few hours later I returned and found that they were sucessful and caught a rabbit.
This was at midnight and it is 3 miles away from the cabin.
But then I started to hear coyotes howling and there was lots of them...
I made it home safely but boy it was a long and erie walk back or shall I say run.
EDIT: Wow I never expected this to be so popular!
Sad thing is, that Halo3mnky was just an account I made to bug Halo2mnky, If only I created this thread on my main account. So I may receive the credit for this there.

3 RepliesOne night I was bow hunting and I was walking back to my house. When I got out of my stand I saw a large animal sitting down on its hind legs like a cat. So the way it sat ruled out a deer and it had a long tail so it couldn't be a bob cat. After watching it for 45 seconds it heard me and ran away. I had a hard time seeing it because it was black. The next morning I searched online and found out it was a puma. This was quite uncommon because I live in Missouri of the United States.

4 Repliesi was about 4 or so. me, my father, sister and mother were coming home from... somewhere. i dont remember all the details, just that it was late, and we were still in the first appartment ive lived in. as is usual, father opened the door and went in first. as the rest of us went to step in, father rushes us out, tells us not to go inside. this doesnt rank high on creepiest occurrences in my life. more eerie. i cant recall what happened next, so i always dismissed it as a dream. but oddly enough, my sister remembers it the same way. both of us unable to recall exactly what happened after father rushed us out the appartment.

About two weeks later my stepdads mother was diagnosed with brain cancer, and has since died from it. Purely coincidence in my opinion, but creepy as all hell if you correlate the two things

6 RepliesThe way my house is layed out, the window over the kitchen sink looks out to the front yard and street. So I was getting myself a glass of water one day, when I happened to look out the window. There was a white SUV stopped in the middle of the road, right in front of my mailbox. I looked at it, the driver probably looked at me, it just sat there for a few seconds. It then backed up out of my view and when I moved to change my angle and see where it had went, it was gone. That's actually happened a couple times now, and nobody in my neighborhood nor anyone I know owns that vehicle. Should I be worried?

I've had several creepy experiences that genuinely made question what I known. This one started when I wanted to try astral projection. Astral projection is separating your soul from your body so you can roam the astral plain. (For those of you who don't know). Anyway, its the middle of the night, I'm lying in bed, completely still, trying to focus on moving out of my body. Every now and then I get the feeling of being weightless which made me think I was getting close. I felt a little silly trying this btw. I had only just heard about it and I was doubting whether it would even work. Another thing I did was visualize myself rising up out of my body which felt like it was helping. I keep doing these things for 20 minutes or who knows how long when eventually my vision became a cloudy black mass. I wasn't seeing myself rise out of my body anymore which was what I had been visualizing. The black cloud overwhelmed my vision and I wasn't able to see anything else. At the same time this is happening I feel like I have been lifted off of my bed and am now weightless. It felt pretty awesome. But only for a split second. Because then I felt the presence of something next to me. Fear came over me and I wanted it to stop badly. Prior to this, I studied up on astral projection to get a good idea of what to expect. And one thing I read was that demons would try to possess your body while you're in the astral plain. One man's story claimed he had just finished exploring the astral plain and had come back to his body to reenter it. To his surprise, a demon was waiting in the room for him. It asked him if he really wanted to go back to his body, to which he obviously answered yes. Back to my story. The black clouds got more intense and I felt terrified. I felt like I was engulfed in it. No matter what I tried to do I couldn't snap out of it. Then suddenly my eyes opened, my fists pounded down on the bed, and I pulled myself up quickly to see what was going on. I was sweating intensely, and I could still feel the presence of something in the open space of my room next to the bed. One super weird thing was that as soon as I woke up my hands came down and hit the bed. As though they had been up in the air. I was able to go to sleep eventually. And I haven't tried to do it again since.

2 RepliesThis one dream... I totally forgot about this dream, but this thread brought it all back goddamnit. I was in a slightly altered version of my house, it had a different attic which could be reached just by going up a fixed stair. In my dream I was up there and I felt this eerie presence, so I took a video of the room, but I couldn't see anything on it. When I looked it back right after, however, I saw a girl in the video in a white dress slowly coming up to me. I got really scared, so I started running down. So here is the real -blam!-ed up part: i was pretty sure that soMething was chasing me. I ran down the stairs until I made it to the living room, I shut the door and gripped to it tightly so that nothing on the other side could get in. But then some supernatural power flung the door open, launching me to the back of the living room. I was knocked out. When I woke up it was like I was watching everything through a red and shaky filter. It was very violent and panicky and I could see a hand with a knife slowly coming towards me, it was the girl. I couldn't move at all. All I could do was take my phone and delete the video I made, so I did. Everything turned normal in an instant and the knife dropped next to my head. Then I woke up for real.

5 RepliesI was having a great sleep until both my dogs started barking. This was already weird, because one dog barks far more often than the other. So I yelled quiet at 3 am which usually shuts them up. But this time it didn't and they kept barking and barking. So I went downstairs to tell them to STFU but they wouldn't. They kept barking at the frontdoor continuesly. Then I heard a strange sound like someone was picking the lock of the front door. Grabbing all my courage I looked through the little one-way peeping glasses (which makes you see the whole front yard), But I saw nothing. I kept hearing this scratching sound even though I could not see someone or something produce that. It could be very possible that someone stood to the right of the front door, which makes it for me impossible to spot him. After I looked through the 'spy glass' seeing nothing still made me wonder what it was. I woke my brother up telling him I hear strange things at the door. He agreed to follow me downstairs and he heard the same scratching noise. I asked him: 'which of us is going to look through the kitchen window'? i eventually volunteered and made my way tho the kitchen. The kitchen window gives a great view of the front lawn. scared as I was I found a new type of courage in myself. I turned the lights on and quickly looked through the window. I was amazed at what I saw! THERE WAS A -blam!-ING HEDGEHOG SCRATCHING AT OUR DOOR AT 3.15 AM. WAKING ME AND THE -blam!-ING DOGS UP, LETTING MY DOGS THINK THERE IS SOME ASSHOLE AT THE DOOR. Never was I ever so scared at night.

1 ReplyI was walking with some friends to class in HS and I accidentally bumped into your typical fat mexican thug/cholo and I thought there was gonna be a fist fight so then he looks at me trying to be menacing and tells me "Watch out foo before I suck your dick." It completely caught me off guard and I was left extremely confused.

So I have insomnia and one time I hade stayed up for about five days and I was reading a book but when I looked up for some reason I completely forgot where I was and I screamed for like five minutes and then I snapped out of it but I was very shaken up.

A friend and I were walking in the backwoods way out behind our school. Saw 3 coyotes tailing us. As we kept walking they kept following us. It was pretty creepy.

7 RepliesI feel like I have to tell someone because it's something that has been on my mind ever since I was a child. When I was around 6 years old, I would be afraid to sleep alone so every once in a while, i'd sleep in my sister's bed with her. Probably about once a year, we would both see a shadowy figure just outside the doorway, almost watching us. We felt that it was something that was watching out for us, which is pretty cool. We called him the man with the black hat. Eventually we didn't see it anymore. Never has this shadow ever set foot in any of our bedrooms, though it has taken a particular liking to my sisters bedroom. My sister moved out and her room is now mine. Recently, I decided to see if anyone has had similar things happen to them. I have surprisingly found a lot of similar cases, though all of them are particular to the shadow being of an evil presence. This surprised me. I felt like I shouldn't have read these things because it made me a little paranoid at night. The very night after reading different cases, I felt a similar presence to what we've seen in our childhood years, only this time its a feeling of fear. Like I should literally fear it. Now I realize the mind is a very strong thing, and we can fabricate things out of fear or paranoia. But what I saw will be forever with me. The room was pitch black of course and I was just beginning to fall asleep when I felt almost a cloud of despair come over me. I grabbed my phone and used the light to search around the room. I aimed it at the corner of the bedroom door by my feet and I saw a black cloud. I had the balls to quickly turn on the lights which was right by the doorway and for a brief second, (not a moment, but a second) I saw the black cloud dissolve. Well ill tell you ive never been so scared in my whole life. Ive only told my family about it because I have been afraid. This took a lot of courage to tell you guys so let me know if anyone has had a similar experience.
