When I see hives I think of them as humans that where infected by an alien infection.

2 RepliesPerhaps, but I think their origin is more of a insectoid. A alien insectoid race that works ase a Hive (hence the name) guided by a Hive queen furthering her own race and improving themselves by incorporating beneficial traits form other races devoured by their DNA.
