July 31st - What's new, what's changed, and what needs work?

Bungie.net continues to grow and evolve, and today marks the latest wave of changes. DeeJ gave a brief overview here, but those of you needing more visual aid may have a gander below. Feel free to mention anymore you may find. What's New?
• The long awaited post preview will pop up an additional window showing how your post will look. It's must faster and efficient than before, but be sure to open any links in a new tab. • The NavMenu has received an overhaul. Now you can view Destiny media and Latest News snippets at a glance. The Bungie Store is also visible in this fashion. • You can also spotlight search for a group from here.
What's Changed?
• Did you know there was a Bungie blog? Most didn't, so now it's peeking upwards and revealing itself. The Pre-Order button also comes forward* • Forums have migrated to the top of the window. They also scroll with you as you move towards the bottom of the page. • Similarly, group links are also displayed on the top., which creates more real estate for threads. • Group/Tag sort is now more organized. • Notification settings now accessible from its window. • Avatars change in PM's depending on who sent the message and how many participants there are. The bar also changed. • The follow button for a tag/forum are more pronounced • The social networking and sharing links have moved underneath the Comment links.
What May Still Need Work?
• Group forums now have a lot of awkward negative space. Perhaps include a sidebar for pinned threads? • Dark Theme makes the grey behind group posts very bright and difficult to see. Same with group search. • Posts that are cancelled during an edit disappear completely. • *Pre-Order option throughout forums may be distracting. • The Mobile App could use embedded image scaling
Do you feel that these improve the site or make it more difficult to use?

  • Still no improvement on private groups.

This huge space on question threads could use fixing too. Unless it's only me seeing this. Looks like it happens because of the group avatars.

    • Is it just me, or does the new navbar actually seem a bit bungie.old-esque?

    • Is it just me, or is the bottom-right corner that's cut out of the menu for News, Explore Destiny, and Forums at a slightly different angle in each one? Yes, this is my only major complaint. Don't judge.

I like most of the changes. It seems like the edit bug is fixed so that good.
The global navigation has got a brand new bag.
It's going to take me sometime to get used to it, but I think I'll like it on the long run. I like how it follows me down as I scroll. Going to different forums is a lot easier and faster now.
The homepage has been given a facelift.
I hardly ever go to the homepage so I'm not too picky about it. It's look so I'm ok with it.
See what you say before you say it.
I love this! So far there are two things I don't like, the way the private group forums look like. And the Profile page, the grey is way too light (Dark theme) and navigating through post history or likes is not convenient or fast.

    • I can't help but feel that the secondary bar under the old navbar is a bit unnecessary. It makes the overall navbar thicker blocking more of the page including the top of the forum banner. Not to mention seeing the giant pre-order button constantly is getting annoying fast. That aside, I love the return of the preview button. I would always use it on bungie.old to check spelling and grammer before I post, but with it gone I've found myself making so many stupid mistakes.

I think navigation is improved. However, I dislike the size of the new navbar and I wish there was an option to disable the navbar following as you scroll. Also, the built in friends list now looks awful.

    • Normally I use Bungie.dark(script), but that's not working properly anymore. I imagine that will fix this weird color scheme though

      • Definitely an improvement. A process of incremental streamlining if you will.
