I finished ME1 as a Soldier. I could rush headfirst into a firefight and know that i would win because of my superior firepower. (Overcharge on the assault rifle amirite)
However i felt it was severely lacking in tech and biotics and so the squad i chose were always proficient in tech and biotics.
I started ME2 and decided to try out the Engineer class and i was immediately underwhelmed.
It felt like it didnt fit the story... Commander shephard, lone survivor, paragon of the new council... an Engineer?
Im going to try out Vanguard as well and possibly the rest until i find a suitable class.
I wanted some of your opinions on which class you like and why, because it will take me ages to try out each class.

Vanguard master race
-
3 different playthings. Maleshep, Super Paragon, Soldier, Tali romace Femshep, Renegade, Super Vanguard, Liara Maleshep, Paranade, Sentinel, Ashley, Miranda, Ashley

ME1: Soldier ME2: infiltrator ME3: sentinel I found the soldier to be the most reliable in mass effect 1, powers were difficult to use and the choice of guns was a huge help. With the Kasumi dlc for mass effect 2 any class that could use smgs was a good class to pick, the infiltrator had a good selection of tech powers to assist combat. In mass effect 3, the combat is greatly similar to me2 but with a larger variety of guns in each class, i picked sentinel because of the throw ability and the extra tech armour provides another layer of defence

My name should give you a hint.
-
Probably soldier as I did in ME1. It doesn't seem like there is any stealth in ME, so I never went as infiltrator.
-
ME 1: Vanguard ME 2: Soldier or Sentinel ME 3: Engineer
-
Soldier in Singleplayer. Infiltrator in ME3 Multiplayer.
-
Engineer or Sentinel, occasionally Infiltrator.
-
Soldier. Because guns.
-
Soldier. Why? 1. Assault rifle 2. If I wanted to be a Jedi, I'd play KotOR 3. I prefer to be the Warrior-esque class in most RPGs (have never been a fan of rogues and wizards)

For me, in ME1, always a Soldier, ME2 and 3, it really varies, my second playthrough of ME2 I played as an Adept, in both playthroughs of ME3 though I've used the Sentinel class...Sentinel is probably my favorite in the second two games, Soldier is the only one I can see myself using in ME1.
-
I've played all of them a fair amount, except in ME3 SP, where I've only played Engy and Sentinel all the way through. I'll agree that Engineer doesn't seem as thematic as some of the others, however I think Sentinel can work fairly well for Shepard (at least Fem Shep). As far as ME3 MP, there are kits I enjoy for every class... hopefully ME4 MP will be as good.

Well my first ME trilogy run I went with Solider, then I tried out all the classes and like the Vanguard and Infiltratorss.
-
Soldat.
-
Engineer and Infiltrator
-
I like Adepts and Infiltrators.

Edited by JLx24: 7/23/2013 3:21:48 PMEngineer is awesome if you know how to use it right.
-
I try out all the classes, well not all but I choose a different class for a new play through. I chose Vanguard, Sentinel, Infiltrator, and Adept.
-
I've only started me1 and I've only been the infiltrator
-
Vanguard
-
I use the Infiltrator and Sentinel classes. The Alliance infiltration unit and the Paladin are my mains.
-
I played as a soldier in all three. It's what I'm most used to and what I find most enjoyable. I only enjoy using tech in multiplayer and I just hate using biotics. Soldier makes insanity on ME3 really easy.
-
Vanguard, oh yes... Though a word of warning, not exceptional on insanity.
-
Soldier in all three. Im going to try Infiltrator on my new playthrough.. I could never use any of the others I cant stand having a only a hand gun or SMG as my only weapon.
-
I've beat every Mass Effect game with every character, but my main true love has always been Vanguard. I also love Infiltrators and Adepts.
