Too bad we can't link to our old profiles... so how far back does everyone really go?

I remember Bungie when it was only on the Mac, when Halo didn't exist, when Minotaur and Pathways into Darkness were the games of the day. I have the Baseball Cap of Myth: The Fallen Lords, and the T-Shirt (still)... I have the Marathon CD's, the codes, and the collector's box. One of their first. I remember being ranked as one of the top players on the country for a week on Myth: The Fallen Lords as well, I just couldn't keep it up due to real life, and well sleep ;) I remember using Forge to work on games to make them play to my tune. And how it always seemed to crash at the worst time :p I remember the original community as well, before the fancy way we do things now... yes I sound like an old fart, except for the creators of Bungie, I probably am... (almost 40)... I would of loved to of been able to connect back with my old profile, Instead of being the two years I show here, I would of been over 20, not the two it does now. So how many years has people been a fan of Bungie, and not by what they show here, I am sure.

  • I've been playing Bungie games since Minotaur. Been on Bungie.net since Myth II, & wish I still had that old account.

  • I was a Mac user as well. I remember when I was in elementary school and I was able to go and buy my first game. Marathon caught my eye (remember the sick triangle shaped design of the box?). After that, I was hooked on Bungie. I went back to Comp USA and searched for Pathways into Darkness. I might have been too young to thoroughly appreciate the Marathon trilogy, as it might have kept me up at night checking under my bed for Pfhor. But once Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth II: Soulblighter came out, and Bungie.net allowed me to easily connect over the Internet, that's when I became a super fanboy of Bungie. I love Halo and all its glory, but the Myth series are right up there with best game series in my mind. It was always fun sitting in the chat rooms and talking with the celestials (what were the top 10 player rankings again? half-moons, moons, sun, comet?) and the Bungie crew. It's that social interaction that Halo missed and I'm hoping returns with Destiny. So, if I remember correctly, I got Marathon in early 1995? So 18 years or so?

    • Man, I have the whole marathon trilogy on my MacBook Pro (since it's free online now). When any of my friends walk by or see me playing it, they are confused as to why I am playing a game with those older graphics. The only thing I can say is "you don't even know"...

      • When playing Myth as a kid, I never realized it was made by Bungie. I became a real Bungie fan when Halo CE released, and remember visiting B.net as far back as 2004.
