ALERT: PUBLIC EVENT

Go around and complete mission (see scenario 1)

37

Jump in and hope for the best (see scenario 2)

404

Go back the way you came (see scenario 3)

13

What do you choose to do? Scenario 1 You decide to go around and continue on your mission. You don't have time for anything to get in the way. Heading past the firefight you approach a large structure. It appears to be an abandoned laboratory, your quest inside. Your mission is to retrieve an artifact that could benefit the city wall and give it greater protection. Slowly you venture inward and eventually see a small blue glow coming from the end of a hallway. You turn the corner to a vast room filled with dusty old lab equipment and the artifact in a large glass container in the middle of the room. As you approach it you hear something switch on and a red light appears. Soon its not just one light, it's several. Its the Vex. They have you surrounded from above on the second floor balcony and below between the old lab equipment. What do you do? Scenario 2 Your ghost alerts you of an unknown enemy nearby and guardians are requesting backup. Putting your mission on hold you run ahead and jump in. As you take in the scene you see a line of hulking behemoths with shields in one hand and a gun in the other advancing on a generator facility. It's the Cabal. A few guardians have already answered the call already and have taken positions around the facility. You note that this is one of the generator facilities that power the city's wall defenses and if they go down the Cabal have a ticket inside. What do you do? Scenario 3 Despite your mission and the firefight that is going on, you decide to head back. Perhaps you forgot something. You head back into the large warehouse that you just left. It's dimly lit and dust floats about everywhere. It appears that this structure used to house large space craft back in it's day and the few that have been left behind are so torn apart by scavengers that they are hardly recognizable. In the distance you see a pair of faint blue sparks. You recognize them all too well. Those belong to the swords of the Fallen. Before you're able to turn back a pile of scrap metal moves 20 feet away from you. Rising up from beneath the pile appears a Devil Walker along with several more Fallen. Its an ambush. From the looks of their capes you confirm it. This group is of the House of Devils and they have been probably hunting you ever since you blew up one of their headquarters a few months ago. What do you do? PLEASE POST YOUR SCENARIO ALONG WITH SOLUTION.

  • I reluctantly pass the generator complex and head for the lab; I shouldn't take too long, and the Guardian team headed there looks strong enough to hold the line. The Vex jump me in the lab, too many to fight. Shit! I shoot out the glass and snatch the artifact from its cradle, shoving it into my bag. As I leave the lab building I see what's attacking the generators: a phalanx of Cabal. Behind me I can hear the mechanical foot-falls of the Vex. With enemies in front and behind, I do the only thing that makes sense to me: run right through the Cabal formation. The Cabal are confused by my sudden entrance and some turn to engage. The Vex open fire indiscriminately on the Cabal flank. The Cabal quickly reorganize to combat the new threat. I join the Guardians already at the generator, and together we wipe out both enemy forces while they attack each other. With the dust settled, the Guardians gather up and chat while scavenging the fallen foes for precious salvage. It turns out a couple of them are headed in the same direction as me. The three of us mount our Sparrows and speed off. As we speed into a large warehouse, a mountain of scrap metal ahead of us bursts apart with a flash of cannon fire. Our group bails from our Sparrows as a shell craters the ground we just occupied. Fallen drop from the warehouse roof while the ambushing Devil Walker rises to its feet. A Vandal Sniper opens fire from a hole in the roof. We take cover behind an ancient shipping container, remarkably still sturdy enough to protect us. With careful marksmanship and liberal use of grenades, we mop up the Fallen infantry. Just in time: the Devil Walker has wrestled its way out of the scrap pile and advanced across the warehouse at us. We scatter in all directions as the spider-like mech crushes the shipping container underfoot. One of our group, a Titan, lunges straight forward, his fists crashing into the Walker's "face." A surge of Arc energy erupts from the Titan, ripping through the machine and briefly knocking its weapons offline. The Hunter in our team sees his moment: he summons a brilliant golden pistol and fires three shots. Two shots hit the Devil Walker's front legs at the knees; the fiery rounds burn through the joints, crippling the Walker's movement. The final round strikes an inconspicuous chink in the Devil Walker's armor with fiendish accuracy. With a loud whir, the Walker's canopy opens, revealing a pulsing orange reactor core. My moment is here. I shove my revolver into its holster and leap into the air. The Devil Walker's turret turns to track my ascent, but its far too late to defend itself. Purple energy ripples across my body, gathering in my right palm and condensing to a brilliant sphere. I thrust my palm forward, pushing the overcharged orb towards the damaged Walker. The combined blast of the Nova Bomb and the exploding Devil Walker rattles my teeth and sends me flying back against the sealed warehouse door. My vision is hazy and I hear footsteps approaching. I look up and find my Guardian companions in front me. The Titan extends his hand to help me to my feet; the Hunter, arms crossed, gives a nod of approval. In unison, we summon our Sparrows. My new friends speed toward the warehouse exit...and stop. They look back at me and I can see the eagerness in their visors: they want to race. I smile under my helmet and settle in between them, gunning my engine. The Hunter counts to three, and as the countdown ends, we all lunge forward, rocketing into the setting sun. I remember I still need to get that artifact to the City, but that can wait. I've got a race to win.

  • Scenerio 1 Hunter: this one is easy, take cover whip out ghost gun boom boom, hit stealth and then sword slash thier asses by blinking rapidly all over the room. But ofc if it was actually me i wouldnt be in this situation because a key to a hunter is planning ahead and observing your surrounding. I can smell a trap and would never just walk into a mysterious room without planning.

      • Scenario 2, the HEX way Observation is key as a Warlock, while our power is strong, the down time for some of the more impressive, scratch that, effective abilities can be rather extensive. I'm not the best geared warlock out there, only having a small amount of time I can devote to my search of loot a day. What I have been able to find is a fairly decent sniper rifle, and a decent damage per shot revolver. Typical, I know, but what can I say, I'm a man of the classics. I know I don't necessarily have the staying power of a Titan, nor the more damage per second abilities and traps of the Hunters, but I have something that a lot of people of the community tend to miss, charisma. So, using my speaking abilities I am able to pull some forces to the generator in question, keying them in on the strategic importance to our shared home. I take some strategic shots here and there with my rifle at the Cabal approaching the original guardians on scene, and using my revolver and spells to help put a pause on on the advancing giants. Thankfully L3G1T 8Bit and xxstrongbeer come in hard, causing quite the commotion, the flood of rounds tearing into flesh and pulling attention off the surge toward the Generator. Revan Kaiju's bullets drill holes in heads, and remove guns from the fight. Another humorous sight was watching the big, blundering Cabal attempting to keep Rhynerd in their sight picture as the Sparrow zips around the battlefield. How quickly the flow of battle changed as the shields were unsure where to point to block the incoming fury of fire; cheers erupt as the Cabal line breaks, and falls, one hulking corpse after another, some riddled with holes, others sizzling from spells, all of them regretting to challenge the awesome force that is the Guardians of The City. As the final Cabal hits the floor, the makeshift hiding spots come to life as we guardians start to scavenge and loot the scene. There are a few people who begin chatting about joining a clan or joining up to take on some more tasks. Personally, finding a new coat, I cant help but smile like a child at Christmas as I begin to make my way back toward my mission objective. ~Designation HEX~ Hope everyone enjoyed my little story, amateur author here, and avid gamer, cant wait to play, but with my daughter on the way in November, there is likely a lot of truth in this story regarding my character.

Scenario 1: Titan- drop bubble shield and search for the doorway you came through, escape through it, then turn around facing the doorway. This forces the Vex to run after you 1 by one through the door, this helps you pick them off easily. Scenario 2: Warlock- order all other guardians to take up positions around the area an surround the area, any cabal in the center would be vaporized. Scenario 3: Hunter- there's just too many, you can whip out your Gjallarhorn and try and sent the Walker, but you're just too heavily outnumbered, my only advice: get the hell outta there.

              • Scenario 2 I like to snipe so I can take a good uphill location and snipe them. Hopefully killing them or knocking off some armor to where the Titans and Warlocks can have a easier time to kill them.

              • Scenario 2) I would do my best to organize my fellow guardians accordingly, while sending out my own SOS and putting incoming guardians in degensible positions to ensure the generator stays intact.

Scenario 2: EXO Warlock. By now I'd want to be a Vanguard as well, but my first action would be to alert any of my guild in the area as I glide into the fray from a vantage point. Lobbing a few Nova Bombs to scatter some of the Cabal apart. Waiting on the arrival of my team I'd whip out my exotic assault rifle and add some buffs to titans and hunters who focus on defending the generator in the back..... Then pushing up the ranks to the front of the battle I'd glide and descend at the center of where the Cabal chief commands the attack and unleash a Nova Pulse blast knocking the chief back and wiping out a group of Cabal from behind for the army of guardians to enter. As the chief rises and prepares his heavy weapon I'll rush in "Titans and Hunter support on both sides!" I'll shout as we set up our next attack. Untill my team arrives victory might not be certain but with a army of guardians there might be hope.

                    • Scenario 2 Hunter As soon as I move into the area my Ghost notifies me of imminent movement. I acknowledged this and move into an offensive position, the whole way utilizing cover and minimizing noise. I close toward the enemy formation and press a a small button on the surface of the Ghost affixed to me belt. The sides fluctuate and reform, folding into each other seamlessly. The final product of this transformation is a 20 sided spherical figure. A dodecahedron. I launch my converted ghost into the fray ahead, just in front of the Cabal position. My ghost's indicator on my mask's HUD determines that the geometrical figure landed on it's 20th side. A perfect throw. "Critical strike..." I utter, as hyper velocity rounds drill their way into the Cabal's Pointmen, causing 4 of their heads to explode. The shields they were standing behind stand splattered with gore. As their front rank collapses, another fireteam charges from the side, and chases the Cabal front into retreat.
