Nothing can be done to fix that, even if the maps were free people that already had the maps would just be complaining that it's taking too long to find a game in MM because the server decided that it wants to load a DLC map. Sadly, someone just keeps asking if anyone knows whether the (DLC exclusive playlist) will be found under Ranked or Social? Did you read the article? Cause I did and you know what it didn't specify, so what makes you think that anyone here has powers of telepathy and knows the answer to that question????? You can only assume that it would be social for obvious reasons, but we know what happens to you when you ASS-U-ME. So for everyone complaining about only getting 1-2 maps for matchmaking and one "Forge" only map, please stop posting and take the time to read the article again. Yes, I'll admit I do think that Xbox live and DLC are taking advantage of consumers in a booming trend referred to as "price gouging". More than half the games released for the Xbox 360 do not deserve their $59.99 tag price nor do they deserve an additional $5 - $25 increase for "exclusive", "downloadable", "special edition", etc. etc...... content; however sometimes and to some people it is worth it. I think everyone should respect everyone else's opinion on whether or not they choose to purchase the maps now or later, no more of this pointless bickering and biting at Bungie for just doing what it is they enjoy. Remember that you should be able to make yourself happy with what you create, just as much as they should. If they wanna make a couple of maps that are in their own respect "good maps" then they can. Why? Because they are the ones that took those jobs. Yes, fan and consumer based opinion is very essential to running a profitable organization! Yes, we could have used a smaller FFA, 1v1, arena style map and some more people would have been happy.... But who's to say that they are not going to?? There are still 3 maps that have been unseen that have been mentioned as DLC in the future (Moonbase Alpha, Purple Reign, and O.K. Corral) and whose to say that Frankie doesn't do another news article the 2nd week of December when the 3 new maps are available and start telling us about even more maps and content that they have created. Patience is a virtue that I will employ, I do think that 4 maps for $10 would have been reasonable to me. And that's my opinion, I'm entitled to it without having to slander somebody else's. So I will wait until spring and be content with what I have purchased until then. IMO Bungie takes pretty good care of their community, very few LARGE companies pay as much attention to their fans as much as they do. Yeah they're not perfect, and nobody is. Bottom line..... Don't buy the game if you can't afford it or don't think that it's worth the purchase, and if you can afford or you will find someway to make it happen because you feel it's worth it, then by all means enjoy =) Don't slander somebody's social status/opinion/values because they find more value in necessity over desire. BTW, I really think that a patch would be very helpful and much appreciated and obviously more maps (fan desired) wouldn't hurt either. But let's not forget about things like, new custom armor permutations, weapons/vehicles, and possibly even some sort of side quests for the Arbiter or something that could still easily be added to this game. Let's not forget that "Best Multiplayer Game of the Year" is not "Game of the Year" and that Halo 3 will be judged on more than that category... Amazing job so far guys!!!!!! i dont know if they will be great maps because i havent played them yet. they look good though. new maps are better than no maps. i got my two words to say. btb objective. halo 3 is missing that one piece.

I don't care if it took place on Earth. I wouldn't care if it took place on the Covenent home world(Which would be cool). I just want maps in different places other than Earth, or the Rings, for a change on Halo 3. As I said before, the maps for Forge are usually one-sided, such as there being way too many Human weapons/stuff on most of the maps, and a couple of Covenent. If you have read the books, there are a number of other planets that Multiplayer maps could take place. What about Onyx? How about a Flood infested map where the Flood Infecters (Guardians like the Fusion Coils) reserect dead bodies and become an enviromental hazard to everyone? Really, it's not about the current maps, or the Heroic Map Pack, but for future maps I'd like to see something different. Though the Heroic Maps are supposed to be different, they look like more of the same, which isn't bad, but if this continues, then I'm guessing Bungie is running out of ideas. I'm hoping Purple Reign will be something different, as well as other maps to come. For those of you who are wondering, I'm not mad at the current maps(much), or the Heroic Maps, but at future maps to come. I know that Human-based maps should have more Human stuff, so that's why I'm hoping the new maps after the Heroic Map Pack are not Human based, whether they're on Earth, or not. We have enough Human maps, so I think the Covenent deserve some spotlight, and certainly deserve more than Snowbound. people have too much time to make long posts like the one at the bottom of page 26. this just in... bungie doesn't care about the 26 pages of complaining in this thread. the DLC plans were most likely drawn up and set into motion before the game was even released. a few 14 year olds complaing about 10 dollars won't get in the way of their business plan. plus face it, they could have released just one map and charged 10 dollars for it and 75% of you would still buy it and 50% of you would still be saying 'GREAT JOB BUNGIE!!!!!!!' after only seeing a zoomed out picture. its cool you guys are making more maps but cant you just literally bring all the maps from halo 2 onto halo 3? i mean i dont really care if the graphics are better or not (theyr good enough on halo 2 anyway)... and 10 bucks wtf? it should be like 5 or something... im gonna wait til spring so i guess it isnt all that bad... and make some armor DLC the possibilities are endless for u guys... what about being able to b a brute? theyr about the same size..

Hi, Do you know what this is my last message in here, as people are just getting to me,, "Thank you bungie for the new map" "sorry about all the people complaining" "shut up people" My god,, pay for the maps, Get ripped off. See if Bungie start to up the amount they want for maps. And when they do, and they will,,, see what happens when you start to complain about it.. See if any one will listen to you... Also think about it,, the maps they make are not that hard to do, people keep saying its SOOO hard,, the modeling has already been done for the game. Also I asked a friend of mine who works for a gaming company. He said " after the game is done, its not hard at all to make maps for it, because all the modeling is done, all you have to do is come up with the idea then, 2 maybe 3 guys can get it out within a week maybe 2". I just hope bungie look at all of this, and see what they are doing, Fan boys i feel sorry for you, because bungie could make 1 map and ask you to pay $10 for it and you would. I don't see why people complain about maps being retarded. To me, every map has its purpose and if you do not play them with strategy, you will lose, no map is bad unless you suck at them. I hate High Ground, why? Because I can't get a kill on it for a worth of crap. And as for the point about $10 fo the maps. You must have one really crappy job to not buy 3 maps for $10. Hell that's cheap! When I heard of the maps the first price I thought of was $20 but I didn't know how many maps it was going to be. 3 maps for $10, eh not bad. But they way technology is these days, I can see why they are that price. Games went up $10, controls went up $10. Everything went up. But like Bungie said, if you don't have the maps you won't be matched in a game with someone that has the maps. So it works out for everyone actually. They are not making it mandatory to HAVE the maps like they did in Halo 2 when Tombstone and Desolation came out. Thanks again Bungie for the maps, I will love them! i really wanted some of the old maps back from halo 1 and 2 those were fun, the indoor maps were better made for competitive mulltiplayer matches. the outdoor maps are too slow and annoying with people just staying underground. if they do make some indoor maps i hope there made like Hang Em High, Midship ,and Lockout [Edited on 11.26.2007 5:37 PM PST]
