Any VW owners on here?
Know this isn't the best place for it but I just wanted to see how many VW owners are on here because I have some questions. I'm interested in a VW and wanted to know if anyone on here had experience with their more modern cars, and could talk about their reliability.

Edited by Halder Inc: 10/22/2014 5:14:27 AMI've had my fair share of them. First one was a 88 Golf 4-door. I ran it with a bad head gasket during high school.. it was hilarious! I was the kid that started their car and it smoked out the entire parking lot! After that I had a few. 90 Carrado (electrical nightmare), 99 Passant wagen. Now I have a 2011 Jetta SportWagen TDI and a 1983 Rabbit GTI. Absolutely love em. If you do your own work, they're simple to work on. If you pay for maintenance... well expect to pay something like $89/hr.

He said it was incredibly reliable, well built, fast, and one of the best cars he's ever owned. The only reason he got rid of it is because he hurt his back in an unrelated incident and he couldn't handle the sport suspension anymore. I know it's not much, but I hope that helped a bit.
