Have you met your online friends in real life?
Whether through real-life meetups, or Skype, Facetime, Google Hangouts.
Have you been face to face with people you met online?
I can tell you I've met my online friends a couple recently, and wow it's such an interesting experience! It's so cool to use Google Hangouts (webchat) to meet people from around the world. It might be intimidating at first, but you basically already know them!
So yeah. Who has experience with this?

I met one in a summer camp once after having played online, but for the most part I've more than often run into the person irl first.

We're both open to the Idea of using , but for some reason we don't, I guess using messaging makes it seem more like a proper pen pal experience (writing letters) we wont actually meet for a few years as we're both 15, she lives in The US and I live in The Uk. EDIT: Oh right you meant XBL? in that case I already know all my online friends, what I was talking about above was my penpal.
