So, we all know, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, etc. But...what if Bungie introduces some new undiscovered planets, perhaps beyond the reaches of our sun...perhaps some dark, mysterious planet floating on the limits of our sun's gravity, or another solar system altogether? I think this could be a possibility in some of the sequels/expansions when some of the planets have been taken back by humanity. Do you guys think this could be a thing? What kind of new planets/areas can you dream up?
Be Brave my friends, Be Brave

There are some pretty big moons around jupiter
-
Why not DLC planets ?
-
I'm sure thy will have all the planets but if they want more space they would probably use asteroids in the asteroid belt
-
I think the planets they plan to use is expansive enough. If they release anymore it will most likely be a dlc.
-
Urrrrrrrranus!
-
So 8 Planets filled with moons, one dwarf planet, and a friggin asteroid belt does not appease you?
-
I like how they're using earth, Venus, mars, and etc.
-
Expansion pack material most likely
-
Also several large ships to explore
-
Well, that works I suppose. I always assumed that eventually we would be taking the battle to the "baddies" who are here. This would mean that we would have to go beyond our own system, fighting in other systems that they occupy and maybe eventually go to their home system. Otherwise we are just "holding our own" in this system while they can marshal and send forces at us indefinitely. There is a hell of a lot of rock in our system though. I think we will be able to explorer it for a long while yet (after we get to start).

There was concept art for a snowy abandoned city (It was A LOT of snow), so I think that could be Europa, Jupiter's moon, or maybe the polar ice caps on mars, as those bare resemblance to Mars architecture in concept art.
-
Jupiter has like 20 moons. I think it's plausible that some of them would be playable.
-
I think it would be cool if every now and again asteroids would fly by, kinda like a special event in-game and everyone would flock to these asteroids for a dungeon raid-style battle
-
Possibly Titan a moon of Uranus Or Ceres a giant astroid
-
Stupid question, there are satellites in solar system :D
-
We need a planet named Dave. That way, I can See Dave. And Be Brave.
-
A new planet, a bug planet...
-
I hear there are several planetoids in our solar system similar to Pluto, so maybe we would have the rare opportunity to explore them. And there are two asteroid belts right? I know of the one between Mars and the Gas Giants but I don't know if there is another one.
-
Sure, there are only eight major planets, but you can't forget about all of the moons, asteroids, comets, and dwarf planets out there. Jupiter alone has 67 known moons, and Saturn has 62. Granted, most of them aren't very big, but the rest of them present a nice array of environments.
-
Mercury has been confirmed? Anyway, I doubt they will add new planets or solar systems, ATLEAST in the first game. More than likely, they will just add new areas to the existing planets. After all, these are planets in the story, not just a few locations.
-
There are also several large asteroids. Maybe we can explore a large selection of smaller maps on asteroids we can play on.
-
In their GDC panel it was hinted that we may eventually be able to leave our solar system and explore the galaxy, followed by a prompt "shh" of course. As far as our system is concerned there are MANY moons and other celestial bodies that Bungie could introduce as areas to explore, we've already seen concept art of a fortress on Europa and of course our moon as well. Somewhere on here is a thread where we discussed the possibility of being able to explore the asteroids and asteroid belt. I have a feeling that some of the places we'll be able to explore are going to make our jaws drop.
