I doubt anyone here remembers me ranting about them before, but for about seven years I've had dreams that are all part of the same story. Sometimes it will be months between dreams, other times I could have three in three nights.
So anyway, while I was sitting in English the other day, I came up with a plan. My teacher said, "of course not every marker has read every text ever created and there isn't time to look for them." She was basically saying that since we are able to use any text we want (in select parts of the exams), the quotes and themes aren't always going to be known to the markers.
So I thought, "hey, having been a part of this dream-story for years now, I should be able to think of quotes and themes from it that fit any question."
In the actual HSC it's a foolproof plan that means I won't have to memorize other texts apart from the ones we studied in class.
If I'm asked after the pre-trial where I found the supposed 'book' I'll claim that a friend wrote it.
So, is this cheating, or just using a text I've been studying for years?
UPDATE: Well, I got my marks back from the exam and received 10/15 and used the dreams as one text, with a short story of my own as another.
