How to get marine fit in 6 years?

In 6-7 years I will be applying to either the army or the Royal Marines. Thing is at the moment not only am I not fit enough, I am actually unfit for my age (15). I can manage maybe half an hour on a treadmill. I have hardly any time to excercise. After school it's too dark to run, weekends usually full, I will have time in the summer though. How can I get fit enough to be a royal marine in 6 years?

killyourself If your making excuses and you're too stupid to find your own research for fitness, don't even bother. >Hardly any time to exercise >Age:15 If you actually had a proper diet and lifting routine, you could could be jacked in six years but you're not because you're stupid. I don't know about the Royal Marines, but you don't even need to be a tank to join the Military here. It's more mentally straining then physically. You sound like a colossal pusy though so you wouldn't make it.

What the -blam!- did you just -blam!-ing say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the -blam!- out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my -blam!-ing words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, -blam!-er. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re -blam!-ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your -blam!-ing tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re -blam!-ing dead, kiddo. Below me: Butthurt

      • Dude just do normal exercises, somebody can lose 100 lbs in a year by just having a normal healthy diet and being on an exercise schedule. 6 years is so much time that you may even change your mind about being in the military anyway. Just take it slow man.

        • Even if you were obese 6-7 years should be plenty of time.

            • 6 years? HA! You can do it in 6 months, you can't be that shit. Hurtful Turkey has a Navy/Seal EOD exercise guide on here somewhere, you should ask him.

You don't have a marine fitness team in your school(or is that an American thing)? I'd say try running a km every night and increase the distance a bit each month until you're able to run 5 miles(about 8 km) without dropping dead. Try lifting weights each night. Start small, and do plenty of repetitions. Be sure to do proper exercises for max results. Build up the weight as you get stronger Start doing 30 sit ups after the run, add 5 each month to the count. Do the same with push ups. Practice doing pull ups, I'd recommend doing some before and after the run. Find your limit and try to add 3/month until you hit 20 in a set. If you can do what is listed above you might actually be above average for the royal navy

              • When does your school finish? It doesn't get dark until 10 at night this time of year...

                  • 6 - 7 years? That's plenty of time. Just constantly work out and set a diet for yourself.

                  • Trust me, you have time to exercise. Unless your school lets out at 8pm this time of year, there's still plenty of time for a run. Any time you're sat at the PC is time you could be exercising. It doesn't have to be cardio; Marines are touch on strength as well. I personally started a routine which I can easily do in the morning, then shower and get to uni. The initial routine (keeping in mind I was hella unfit at the time of starting): 20 squats 10 press ups <- - - - repeat this entire group four times. 10 leg raises Four times a week. Then, as it got easier, I added more and more reps to each set, and more sets to each exercise. It's a great way to build core strength. I'm now on: 40 squats 20 press ups <- - - - repeat this group six times. 20 leg raises It doesn't touch on cardio but when I get back home I'll start running over the summer.

                    • 1) "too dark to run" doesn't exist. Streetlights exist for a reason. 2) "weekends usually full" - if you can't find the time to do 45 minutes of exercise on a weekend, then lack of fitness isn't your biggest problem 3) Do loads of pressups. Like, every morning. 4) Go on the MOD website, they have all sorts of fitness guides.

                    • Too dark to run? There's such thing? Most of my walks are anywhere from eight o'clock PM to midnight.

                      • You're going to need to be able to run, definitely. I'd say go to the Gym at least once per week and just spend the whole day there. Do that for 6 years and you'll be fit
