I'm calling it now! In one of the Destiny games, the Traveler is going to fall on the Last City.
Who's with me?!
-
Perhaps some other disaster that has to do with the Traveler, like the Traveler's power starts to do something to the people living beneath it. But I doubt that its just gonna fall out of the sky
-
I hope so. That'd be awesome.
-
It'll probably be in one of the CN Comet DLCs
-
While I can certainly see it happening I honestly hope that they don't go that route. It just seems a little predictable as a way to throw a "major disaster" at us.
-
I'm calling it now! The Vex are a legion of abandoned human souls tied to robots from the future. They know the truth about the Traveler and it's true intent. When they die, you can catch a glimpse of their humanity before they can finally pass on.
-
I think that we are about to send out people to places and then the traveler crushes us all killing and wiping out the human population and the disc in your console breaks when that happens
-
I think the humans will save the traveler or bring it back to life and we will learn about the Traveler before the traveler has to sacrifice itself again to save us.
-
There could be issues with the Travelers orbit but that won't be till Book 3-4 even the end I'm guessing
-
Maybe. It could even be that the Traveler is about to, and then you suddenly come up with a way to keep it in the sky.
-
More than likely whatever the traveler "did" to save the earth the first time, it'll happen again.
-
It'll likely be the end to the final game. You'll prob have to destroy it at the cost of the guardians' power to ultimately save the city.
-
Id rather it didn't. goes against the whole hopeful world worth saving vibe bungie said they are going for.
-
Forgot who here made the original post, but still, my favorite theory on it is that it is actually a W'rkncacnter prison/siphon. Not only actually protecting us from the W'rkncacnter, but also (in a Bioshock Infinite sort of way) siphoning/draining some of its powers/energy out to the Guardians to use for space magic and the like.

Edited by StarcideTV: 5/30/2013 3:05:36 AMWell I don't think it's going to fall like a bowling ball, but I think it will be completely destroyed and shattered into billions of pieces.
-
Personally, I think it is slowly pulling the earth off of its orbit, into the sun.
-
Kinda obvious. I think it will happen in the 3rd or 4th game to allow for a need to rebuild/we got hit time to regroup vibe to the game. Allowing us to feel like we truly are in the game world.
-
It aint gonna fall bro it's gonna get obliterated out of the sky
-
Also, the traveler seems to be lifeless As the builders have died so it only seems fair for it to fall slowly
-
70% yes 30% no
-
In the first trailer, it says the survivors built a city UNDER The TRAVELER, and in some wallpapers it shows the traveler really really high above the city. In the game it is low so I believe it is either slowly falling or rising. The city was built after the traveler had arrived.

Idk it COULD happen
