Xbox+ Play Station play MMO together?
is it possible to have people that play Xbox play online with people that play the Play Station in destiny? I have a few friends with play station and Xbox and I would love to play with all of my friends while I play my Xbox.

Probably won't happen. I can see PS3 people being able to play with PS4 people, but not PS3 playing with Xbox

will this happen because they would make more money and friends with ps3 like mine will have more fun with friends on xbox me

4 RepliesIt is possible, and it has been done in the past (FFXI), and Defiance apparently has it working in test environments. The key part is getting microsoft and sony to agree. (Pretty hard task, Bungie/Activision could basically force it, though - "do it or you don't get destiny on your console"). And contrary to popular belief, it's just as much sony as it is microsoft.

I believe bungie said there will not be cross-platform support.

Technically feasible. In actuality, highly unlikely. With Microsoft and Sony about to go into a next-gen console war, i don't see either company doing anything with a title this big to share their communities. Plus you get into problems of players trying to trade PS exclusive items to Xbox players, and vice versa. I'm sure the coding has to be somewhat different.

I can honestly say I CAN see it happen, the vision they see in this requires a BIGGER aspect, bring the console worlds together for Destiny would make it have more of an individual feel for each player, which is a HUGE point of the game~

Possible as in can you do it now? No. Possible in any way? Yes. But Microsoft and Sony will never agree on it
