Solving a gun problem with more guns doesn't sound like a good idea when guns are a problem.[/quote] Guns aren't the problem, a small group of people who partake in illegal activities are the problem. my 12 gauge shotgun has never caused a problem, my ammo has, some of it doesn't like to eject. My Mosin Nagant has never caused a problem, except maybe to a German, or some dirty Russian it failed to protect. My friends .410 shotgun has never caused a problem. All of the rifles, pistols, and shotguns at my range have never caused a problem. It's people that are the problem, always have been, always will be. Rather then gun control, we need to have gun education. We need to not taboo the subject in schools. In fact, I support a firearms safety class as being a mandatory class in Elementary school. I support college courses that teach people how to shoot different types of firearms with different types of action. Gun control is not the answer, gun education is. The old adage is, "A armed society is a polite society." I can attest to this. Every gun owner I know is incredibly nice, respectful, helpful, and friendly, most gun owners generally are. Yet we are all painted the villain in the media as blood thirsty criminals who want to kill people. That is so far from the truth, it's not even funny anymore. [/quote]Gun education. Good work sir.[/quote]Exactly, guns are treated like toys today by misinformed youth. You see all of those edgy photos on Facebook and Tumblr with visual customization so it looks all dark and grey with usually some teenager, mostly girls, who pose with guns pointing them at the camera with the finger on the trigger or against their head thinking it's so 'deep', makes me disgusted. People need to be informed, guns aren't toys.
