Today marks the 17th birthday of Pokemon.
17 years ago, today in Japan the first Pokemon games Red and Green were released.
I didn't play them when they were first released outside of Japan because I wasn't old enough, my first was Sapphire.
Anyway let's take this moment to look back on the series as a whole? How do you think the series has evolved since Generation 1? What are your favorite games in the series?

huh it's only 17 ? i thought it was much much older like the 25 year old Metal Gear series
