I highly doubt that the playable characters will even have faces. Much like the aliens from Mass Effect the name escapes me, Tali was one of them, and of course Master Chief the big kahuna himself, never seen his face (until 343 made Halo 4 and you get to see Steve Downes eyes in CGI). So, to answer your question, I don't think they will look like anything other than armored up humanoids, and seeing as to how The Traveler is hovering over Earth, all playable characters will be human. Also, not being able to see their faces or skin would allow you to pretend that you aren't human, if you so wish.

This game is going to be so AMAZING.im dieing by my impatients for this game. just thinking about it , from the wide customization variety to the wide range of movement to the different factions to all the friends you could make. I AM GOING TO LOVE THIS, I PRAY THAT I LIVE TO SEE THIS GAME.

1 ReplyDo you mean their faces ? Because all the armour will be customisable, so it will depend on what you prefer. Your character's face might even be customisable, like in Mass Effect or Skyrim. Wouldn't it be cool if you could decide not to wear a helmet like in ODST ? It would really depend on whether the armour affects your damage resistance, etc. (which it probably will). If armour does affect it, then Bungie probably won't put the option in, because everyone will want to keep their helmets on. Perhaps it could be used for the [i]"safe hubs"[/i], like towns and strongholds where there are no enemies...

I've also read something about clothes being available ( http://www.polygon.com/2013/2/17/3993058/destiny-bungie-first-look-preview ) to further individualize your character. Besides the pictures we have atm, I don't think that anything else related to their look is out yet.
