fight

Edited by The Cellar Door: 10/9/2014 1:29:07 AMThere are no absolute truths in a science and there are no absolute truths in religion, doesn't matter which one you follow. Fighting each other only serves the purpose of making each person look entirely ignorant. EDIT: btw I was talking about the beginning of life and sciences look on it and religions look on it. Bad bait is bad. Also I'll leave this here: http://youtu.be/5xvILvxYbFA

If God isn't real who keeps Australians from falling of the bottom of the Earth? Checkmate atheists

If God's not real, who wrote the Bible? Christians: 1 Atheists: 0

When I first glanced thread, I thought it said "Athiests vs Christmas" and thought "this is going to be great"
-
The Christian's attempts at arguments are both cute and humiliating to themselves. If you wish not to waste your time, I suggest skipping over those. Ex: "If there's no oxygen in space, then how can the sun burn?" Like I said, skip those.

After the Aurora shooting, Christian Bale visited the victims in the hospital. Where was Atheist Bale? Christians: 1 Atheists: 0

Prove that gods real, then prove that the giant Flying Spaghetti Monster isn't real using that logic, I'll convert on the spot
-
It pisses me off when some stupid atheist asks what I am then yells at me demanding I have god come down from heaven and do some miracle to prove that god exists like seriously. I ain't shovin the bible and my beliefs down ur throat so do it to me! Now ik some atheists don't do this but those who do just piss me off and Ik some Christians also do the same to atheists and that isn't cool either.

If the flying spaghetti monster isn't real, why are planets shaped like meatballs?

A new fighter has arrived. Pragmatic Agnostic has joined the game. Pragmatic Agnostic has gone lone wolf. Pragmatic Agnostic has engaged team Christian. Pragmatic Agnostic has engaged team Atheist. If their is a God/god/Gods/gods, then he/she/hen seems highly unconcerned with our daily lives, making the question entirely academic. As far as the Bible? I'll use one of my quotes that I used in an argument about religion.:
Ever play a game of telephone? Or spread a rumor in a school? One kid does something mildly interesting, then it gets blown out of proportion. This is what I personally think has been happening to Christianity for the past 2000+ years, some guy named Jesus of Nazareth had a illegitimate birth(cheater wife or something), then became a "revolutionary" motivational speaker or priest or something similar. He started doing radical things, like baptizing people in a river, then rumors started flowing around, because humans do that shit, next thing you know, the Government finds out about this, and nails him to a cross. His followers, not wanting their savior to be truly dead, then begin spreading rumors of his resurrection 3 days later. At least, this makes more sense then, Jesus was never a real person, he never existed, some random person made up a story, then somehow got it into Roman records. Then turned it into a religion.
In addition, being a jerk to someone about their personal beliefs will not make them change to yours, in fact, it's generally accepted that those practices make someone even more defensive of their own beliefs, and more hostile toward yours. Picture is for both sides of this argument though, because I'm trying to convert anyone, I'm just making a point.

Agnosticism is the trump card.
