Gaining their independence would just put Bungie in a position where they can expand their IP to other platforms and gain even MORE fans along the way. That way, more people can get to witness what it's like to play a Bungie game. Of course they're not going to be releasing any of the MGS published games on any other platform, but the PC... that's standard. But saying that you won't purchase any of their products if they ever release anything for another platform is just outright selfish. They have every right to expand their products and have a lot more people enjoy their games.
