It is an interesting update, maybe not much about the status of certain things but still interesting. This is not halo.net so they can post what they want. As for the bugs, they are surely working on them, it just takes time. They have to figure out what causes it, how to fix it, then test it to make sure it does not cause another bug. That takes time. There will be bugs, but it seems there are fewer than some games out there, and all that code means a lot of chances for bugs. I do quality systems inspections and look at a many software developing companies or departments and the reality is there are always bugs, they are not easy to fix, and they have to be prioritized (hence the existence of BugZilla and similar software). Remember, they can test all they want, but once you get millions using it new things can be revealed. About the only good thing is that they are all on one platform, rather than computers which have so many different configurations that there are more headaches. The code-junkies are probably hard at work looking at the issues and trying to determine where the bugs are in their millions of lines of geek-speak so they can give them all a nice swat with a gravity hammer. An update will come, just give them time to get a few bugs swatted and tested so that they can wrap them in a nice little box of internetz paper with a little 360 bow and send it out. My bet is that they will send out an update with multiple fixes at once, as it is easier to do. TO those who think the storm will not hit you... Mister Chief is watching....

I really hope you pick up soem games later on this year like: Mass effect assasins creed ,bioshock ,Call of duty 4 ,Uncharted drake's fortune ,Ratched & clank future tools of destruction. Those games are next-gen gaming. And next year dont forget fable 2 ,alan wake ,gta 4 ,final fantasy 13 and ofcourse Metal Gear Solid 4. When you have played all those games, Halo 3 will be nothing more then a distant memory of a game that could have been alot but ended up beign nothing, you probably wont even remember it................. Thanks for the game guys. What's up with the ranking system though? I checked my stats (very cool that you can do that) and I've won 20 games in a row and was the lead scorer in many if not most of them and I'm still just a 6. I almost always win by at least 10 if not 20 points. What do I need to do to rank up?

Ok let me start with I really love playing halo and thank you for making it for us to enjoy. I just won 22 games in a row and only went up 2 levels in team slayer. I don't have a problem with any other game type. When I play with my buddy whose a 36 (I'm a 31) and my buddy whose a 32 at the same time we almost never go up but when me and the 32 play we go up 2 and 3 levels at a time. So what's the deal man. You get punished for playing with your friends. Is Halo 3 no longer a friends friendly game because of boosters? I know you addressed this but saying it's too complex is not an answer it's a put off. Give us an answer or fix the problem if there is one and don't tell us I don't care. I'm just a little tired of beating the heck out of guys over and over again. There is no challenge if you get a steak every time you play. I'm at the point where my friends and I let the other team kill us so we don't get a steak with the hopes that will fix the problem.

[/quote] The only game u listed that is is / is gonna be any good is bioshock (i reserve judgment on COD4 since 3 sucked but 4 is made by the ppl who made 2 which was good). If this is your idea of awsome things to come its not surprising you dont like halo3. PS if gears of war looks the same as halo 3 on ur tv try switching to at tv that isnt older than you are.

Nice to see how you guys feel about this; that it isn't "just a job" for you talented people :D I hope to see another blockbusting game come from Bungie soon. We all appreciate the effort put into the Halo trilogy, and I'd just like to say on behalf of every Halo fan out there, Great job guys, keep up the good work, and most of all, thank you!

Wow, lot of whiners on here, not to mention a lot of people worried about that naughty list. You know if you've kept your nose clean, and haven't been cheating or boosting, most likely you got nothing to worry about when the banhammer swings, for those of you who've been, watch out, I hear that thing hurts more than a gravity hammer. I am glad bungie finally is going to do something about it.

I have a complaint about Halo 3. It's compelling gameplay and fascinating storyline are distracting me from my life. This is also a compliment.

Amen man. The n00bs and the youngin's complain about everything since they live in the world of WOW and Evercrack... Developing the go to game for a next gen console isnt easy....hence the open endedness and updatability of Halo 2 and 3. Now, when do we get to see the Whambulance(tm)? I would love a realtime RSS feed of the whambulance inbox...just to see the 31337 n00bs and hax0rz whine and complain about the banning. :) It'd definitely get some hits to the site guys. Btw, great game, haven't played it through yet...but I will. :) *watches his kitten pwn n00bs*

Dear Skip Weasel, Reading how you took that reinacted 300 kick in the chest in the name of meat on pizza like a man, and visualizing it, made me reading all of the mushy thank you notes in this story without getting to see a naughty list, made the whole thing worth it. FOR SPARTA!

GASP MUST BE READ >>>>> the special legendary ending has a borge type planet and it shows master chief broken ship with cortana is heading into autmosphere and the planter lights up this seems to be marathon...and bungie talks alot about marathon coming back... and MC is headed to that planet.... andddd halo did orginate off of marathon.... hehe this is gonna be amazing. alos if u read all of the terminals in halo 3. the forerunner access terminals, the last one says stuff about No....there is more, but you are not yet worthy... a bigger story than halo fans anticipated after hearing halo was over..... but marathon begins as a sequel to halo..... bungie is the next world dominator. i hail bungie. thankyou. i cried thinking chief was dead at the end...but watched all the way to the credits and am soo thankful i did. bungie....can u sometime soon tell us about marathon and the story?
