Sniper rifles in halo: are they for wusses?
whenever i play halo and use a sniper rifle, i usually dominate.my friends say sniper rifles are for -blam!-. so does half the people i know who play halo. opinions anyone?

Sniper rifles r good if used correctly. like in cobonation with the scorpion tank or rocket launcher. just to give the other guy a chance, you know....

I am a sniper, and a darn good one. I usually own those who I see in my cross-hairs. Unless I am playing 1 on 1 with this one friend, he always gets me because he uses the and looks at my screen, whats that tell you? On Xbox Live, I shall own him. ~SO

bad halo player: doesn't understand the game play, the weapons & how they work, the way the vehicles work, or how to use the levels average player: may not know much, but has the gist of it, lacks a bit of practice & isn't all that knowledgeable about some of the intricacies of the vehicles/weapons/game good player: pretty clear on how weapons etc work & how to use em great player: kinda has a matrix thing going, knows their weapons/vehicles etc with Halo you gotta understand that if you can kill someone, they'll have a go at you at some point, but that doesn't make a weapon or anything else 'pussie' because to use all weapons properly etc, takes skill, if someone tried to mow me in a hog & kept missing, that'd be laughable, but if they got me first time, fair play to em, same for snipers etc, you get me first shot, good job, now I'm after you, 2 shots, still, well done, anymore... starting to be lame... nothing in halo is 'pussie' really, its just making sure you're not the pussie, because if you are skilled, you can use anything effectively & thereby make it useful & a valid method.

if they had the sniper they would not say that about themselves only because you dominated them and using a sniper is dam hard you can miss and blow your cover remember halo is covert and non-covert

I hate sniperz, dont get me wrong...i do respect tho's long Dist. kills they pull off and all but wenever i play against one its never good because they only end up killing me once then i brutally abuse thier halo skills for the rest of the match "BWAHAHA.....COME DOWN AND FIGHT LIKA MAN U WUSSIE HAHAHAH....OH!?!?! dont want to come down do you!!?!? *KAPOOOO* (another sniper round barely misses" Y U SON OF AH.....*CLICK CLICK.*....*SWOOSHHHHH!!*(rocket round fizzing threw air)....KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM(debris flies...and uncandid M.cheif armor hurrled through the air).....BWHAHAHAH....time to relocate EH el-sniper?!?!?!?!" this one of many fatal stories of the unsuccessfull wussie sniper.....BWHAAHHAHAH

same here pretty much. not trying to brag,but i seriously have never lost when i can get a sniper rifle,sumtimes shotgun. i Never lost a round in blood gulch or sidewinder

I own people all the time with snipers, they just get so pissed that they will say abunch of crap about it being -blam!-. so i just wait for them to respawn and kill them with 1 shot and ask them if they want to say its pusy again

They were pretty easy to use in Halo, but I heard in Halo 2 the sniper rifle has a big recoil, that makes it much harder to hit consecutively.

It takes a great deal of dexterity, but headshots are just as effective at killing your foe from 8 feet away as they are from 8000 feet away. And I greatly appreciate knives answer to the header question- amen, brother. And if others are using tactics that you think are "cheap", than if you can defeat them, then it is more power to you. There is always going to be those who, in your eyes, use cheap tactics. You just have to learn to overcome these tactics.

Hey dude in halo anything goes, if people didnt want you to dominate in halo they should of went to the game edit screen and changed the weapons its their fault so just keep doing what you do and they will either get really pissed at you or they will get better and learn to beat you or they will learn not to try you in halo ever again!

Their probably totally pissed off how good you are. My friend is an ace with the SR. He seems to be able to get head shots without even trying. This really pisses me off at times, and i might slag him off for not being able to do anything else, etc, but in actual fact im just getting pissed about dying for the third time without knowing where he is. He is actuallyu the best player out of all of my group. I wouldnt say they're for wusses, they're for those that can use them, which unfortunately doesnt include me.

Tanks are fun and half the time the people driving them are just doing it to either escort somebody else, draw attention from somebody else, or just to be stupid.
