Halo 2 Vista FAQ
Since Halo 2 Vista is getting closer and closer, and certain things have changed since we last updated the Vista FAQ, we thought we'd give PC players some more details on what to expect from the forthcoming Vista conversion. New info inside!

I would like to address another concern of mine here. This time, dealing with the dedicated server application. As you had stated in the FAQ... [quote]The Dedicated Server runs as a service on [b][i]Windows Vista[/i][/b], providing extremely basic “start and stop” functionality through the Windows UI. Most interesting aspects of a dedicated game are managed from the command line, either locally or remotely. These features will be documented at release.[/quote] Did you mean to specify that the server can only be run on Windows Vista, or were you just using Windows Vista as an example? There is absolutely [b]NO REASON AT ALL[/b] why it shouldn't be able to run on a version of Windows later than Windows 2000. Windows 2000, Windows XP (Home and Pro), Windows Server 200[i]x[/i], and Windows Vista should all be capable of running a simple server application and if you are honestly considering making it run on Windows Vista only, you just shot yourselves in the foot...again.
