Weapon Designs
So in Halo, why do the rifles mainly come in bullpup designs? The Assasult Rifle (H:CE,3,Reach), Battle Rifle (H2,3), and the DMR(Reach).
Was there ever any concepts of rifles that weren't a bullpup design? Excluding the sniper rifle of course. I have no problem with it, but it's pretty interesting that almost all the rifles are designed like that.
I like the SMG (H2,3) concept too, it's small, caseless. And the shotgun....well it's a shotgun.
What do you think of Halo's human weapons?

I know bullpups have all the action behind the trigger instead of in the front, so the weapon offers more maneuverability and apparently less weight while maintaining the same barrel length. Which makes sense playing as a Spartan, you would want as much mobility as possible. So I guess really my question is, were there other rifle designs that Bungie had that weren't bullpop?
