We were doing 3 person Legendary Co-Op with: Gold Skulls: Tough Luck Skull Catch Skull Fog Skull Famine Skull Thunderstorm Skull Silver Skulls: Grunt Birthday Party Skull Cowbell Skull IWHBYD Skull It's a fun way to play on any difficulty level as grenades become a real pest what with their expanded blast radius and potency increased thanks to the Cowbell.

Yeah, I feel that no one is talking about the Silver skulls as much as the Golden ones. Can we get some info on the last four skulls like what exactly their effect is and if there is a combat multiplier attached to them. Mixing some Gold skulls with Silver ones would be a fun time.

Grunt birthday party, all the way lol. It's exactly how I feel!!! What if there were like a skull that made all the enemies half their size. Grunts that you could step on, drones just small enough for the fly swatter, and brutes that look like teddy bears. Ha!! I mean, if you're gonna do a jub-jub map, do like Star Wars Battlefront and include a jub jub mode...
-
You forgot one thing, Ske7ch. The best skull, Grunt Birthday Party. "Yayyyyyy" -Bee
-
a real chalenge is black-eye and iron skull
-
jeez im so far behind you guys... i still havent beaten Keyes on halo 1. cant find any way off the covenant ship, plus the flood just keep coming. I need help!!!
-
My favs for skulls are Solo Heroic: Fog, Famine, Thunderstorm. 2-3 players Heroic: Fog, Famine, Thunderstorm, Catch or Mythic depending on which firends are with me. 4 player Heroic: Fog, Famine, Thunderstorm, Catch, Mythic , Tough Luck.

I don't play often with gold skulls on but i do have IWHBYD and Grunt b-day on all the time.
-
Legendary - Iron
-
I at least have fog on every time. Oh and uh...I know it's not technically a Gold Skull, but I love the Grunt Birthday Party...."Yaaaaaayyyyy!" [Edited on 10.04.2007 2:38 PM PDT]

GRUNT BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR MATCHMAKING!!!!! just a thought. (would be fantastic once the sniper headshots start registering.......ahem........sniper....headshots....cough....cough.....fixthem....ahem) Could you imagine playing SWAT like that? Especially from the Death Cam POV. Fun times to be had by all.

Just for co op on legendary – Iron, Black Eye (this makes every person on team to have to participate in battle, ‘cause then if they die, iron takes back to checkpoint, perhaps), Catch, Fog, Famine, Thunderstorm, and Mythic (TEAM WORK needed for both Thunderstorm and Mythic together). Make sure to have long range, mid-range, and close-range halo specialists on team, unless ur already all of those. ‘cause then it is nearly impossible to get through the levels on legendary like this. but it sure as hell is fun, as long as you have not so serious friends playing with u; friends who don’t care if u screw up that often. lol. respect, peace out zaeet

I think that the black eye does add difficulty against covenent but whenever you are taking on the flood it isn't that bad since alot of the flood don't have guns, having to melee them all the time isn't that bad. Infact sometimes it is easier and since swords and hammers count as melee if you have either of them you can keep your sheilds from going down without to much trouble as long as you just reset to the checkpoint, encounters aren't to bad. However the iron skull complicates things. [Edited on 10.04.2007 1:11 PM PDT]

Grunt birthday party makes everyone happy! Throw cowbell and Catch together and you'll find that not only do grenades get around your cover but they throw your cover 10 feet into the air so you have to jump to stay behind it =).

awesome guide, but I already have my own strategy that has been working perfectly. Really, I just love that post because you mentioned Brett Favre...Go Pack! 4-0!
-
my fav skull is grunt birthday party
-
*GOLD* skulls: Iron, Tough Luck, Catch, Fog, and Famine on Heroic...I really like the no motion sensor (btw Im grounded so i havent played legendary yet ) White Skulls: IWHBYD, Grunt B-Day (btw great job with this skull(YEAH!!!)), and cowbell (I think this is the sputnik one just not as drastic)

So um.... what gives, I rarely use Bungie.net forums and I tried for like 10 minutes straight looking for a button to post in the "Ultimate Q&A forum" or whatever, I'm guessing it's locked, WHY does it not say anywhere that it's "locked" .... that pisses me off.

I tried out the campaign scoring on Normal difficulty with some of the skulls, I do not have all of them yet. I used: Tough Luck, Catch, Fog, Famine and Thunderstorm. I considered Mythic, but I think I'll use Tilt (when I acquire the skull). It was pretty fun dodging grenades and killing loads of gold brutes. When I get Black Eye I think I'll add that to all the other skulls as well, although with grenades being thrown at me all the time it may be quite hard. I stacked 35,744 points on Sierra 117 and 43,008 points on Crow's Nest. I'll probably do two more levels tonight after getting Tilt. At first I was dying because I wasn't used to the type of gameplay with the grenades being thrown every 5 seconds, but I got used to it and had a great time. I could probably get some more points if I really went for it on Heroic. EDIT: Oh and I guess I had a 2.5x time bonus on the first level and I think it was a 3.0x bonus on the second level, but I'm not sure. It's really awesome trying to complete it quickly but being safe at the same time and not dying. [Edited on 10.04.2007 11:17 AM PDT]

Me and my friend played first level on Legendary with: Thunderstorm, Iron, Catch, Fog, Tough Luck, Grunt Party (Best one lol) and IWHBYB. We had 4x and 9x with the skulls giving us 13x. Using a special kill, we would get like almost 200 points for killed a grunt lmao. It's loads of fun to turn a corner and see like 10 plasmas coming at you with nowhere to go.... lol, damn that catch skull

try 2 make it up the tower on halo with all the gold skulls turned on but blackeye an famine. its lke survival mode when u got it on fun as hell recommend doin it on coop walkn way over thier gets a little tedious..
-
all gold skulls on but blackeye(want ov shield bck) an famine should try with famine on next then. makes game alot funner. look at my video of halo chieftinuzealot is dah gamertag. get repettitve is partner keeps dyin though but way funner then with no skulls on an i had grunt bday onto so what does cowbell do same as it did n halo 2 cause it dont sound lke it.
-
I like all the skulls on. it makes it very fun try it
-
Iron doesn't work the way I want it too. I think this means Rhonda Byrnes is full of -blam!-. I want the Iron Skull to make it so that if you die you lose the mission. If three players in coop die they all sit their watching/pracying/The-Secreting that the fourth player completes the mission for everyone. Iron-Fog sounds like a good combo. Too bad I have no frickin clue where the Fog skull is. But at least I've already found two skulls in Halo 3. The only one I ever found in Halo 2 was that one that MC picked up without me even telling him to while he was riding the subway during, what I thought, was a cut scene.

Since scoring the meta game achievements i use i think 6 or 7 skulls at the same time...i know i use Catch , Grunt Birthday , Fog , The field promotion skull , one with low magiz left in dropped guns ...all i know is its still fun playing campain and its my 4th time

I haven't found them all yet. I REFUSE to look at a guide until I find them all or a month from now whichever comes first. What I would like to know is how many are each level so I'm not killing myself looking when I shouldn't be. Would someone be totally AWESOME and PM me how many skulls are on what level? Thanks.
