My wife works at a Sam's Club, which also happens to have a gas station. Tomorrow morning when they open they will be charging 3.59 for a gallon of regular unleaded. It was 2.59. Apparently hurricane Katrina is to thank for this. Hopefully Sam's is an exception or just overreacting, but don't be surprised if you have to pay out the ass for gas starting tomorrow.

The gas stations have nothing to do with it. It's all about supply and demand. The demand is high right now, and supply is low... which equals high prices. Its basic economic sense. There's no great conspiracy behind it. And stop linking all your statements so you can pretend that you're a mod.
