I was looking through the thread for the best Nintendo Game, and saw that no one (sorry if i missed one) besides me posted any games from the original NES. Yes I know those games wery pretty easy and somwhat bland compared to todays times, and I admit, I somwhat jokingly replied with the original Super Mario Bros. But I would have though someone would have posted one of the classics like the Orignal Legend of Zelda. So to get to my point I am curious, how many people here grew up with the Orignal Nintendo, and when I mean grew up I mean you bought one new, from a store, not off ebay or from a video game resaler, this would have been purchased before the internet was even available to the world....now thats a thought

 •
Posted by: Sketch_ ... somewhat bland compared to todays times...
if anything, todays games are bland compared to yesteryears games. i mean think about it. back then, everything was fresh and original. nowadays you have clones and carbon copies flooding the market.
...how many people here grew up with the Original Nintendo, and when I mean grew up I mean you bought one new...
i bought one new, although not when it first came out. my mom always thought video games would "rot my brain" as i'm sure many others still do. point being, i had to wait until i saved up enough money to buy one on my own. same with all the other systems and games i've bought over the years. anyways, Metroid and the Legend of Zelda will always be among my top 5 all time greatest games.
