What is the best weapon really.
Their is no best weapon really,if you had a plasma sword,sure you can kill something instantly with your lunge attack,but if they don't know there could be a sniper with a great head shot,and with a sniper it is really useless when in close range.

I hear both rumours about no pistol and new pistol, but as far as Im aware theres no definitive asnwer from Bungie on it. I think pistol is best weapon in Halo 'cos its good for close and long range. I assume in Halo 2 its gonna be similar, no weapon is a certain always keeper. Sometimes in Halo I got rid of it as I did with the sniper or the rocket launcher. So I guess it'll depend on the situation, but the new BR looks like it'll kick ass. Be a good all round weapon but Im gonna assume Bungie will make it an all-round weapon only and not rediculously good, with others better for certain situations, eg SMG better for close up, sniper for long range, and alien equivalents with their pros and cons.
