i have actually seen an Engineer in halo1 and it was in a cut scene, the second last level, the one with the truth and reconsiliation (the covenant mother ship), its the second time you meet it, well theres a cut scene when you first start the mission and it shows all the death and destruction and in a narrow pass, i saw a realy werid alen and i said what the *****!? because i had never seen it before. i know it wasnt supposed to be there coz the camera when strait through its head(or what i think its head is). i have never seen it since. but i think its an Engineer, if this pic shows one then it was an Engineer http://bungie.net/images/Games/Halo/Gallery/PreXbox/pcgamer_3.jpg
