If you guys haven't read the three terminal articles mentioned in this post, DO IT. I left this review on their site regarding the articles: Wow. Wonderfully written. I actually came close to tears reading "She died in Eden". Well done. That goes out to both the writer with his beautiful terminal insights and interpretations, as well as bungie for the actual concept and masterfully contrived placement of stories with stories within stories. The Halo universe is largely successful for it's ability to capture the minds of completely different persons. From "Trigger-Happy" to "Die-Hard Romantic", the Halo universe has finally captured the essence of every aspect of humanity. Even if that humanity is hidden behind the unknown face of a fictitious alien species who desperately strived for the Utopia that deep-down all mankind secretly lusts for. Bravo. Bravo.
