team slayer

I played Team Slayer today with a friend. He is a 43 and I´m a 38. We did quite good and I could hold my own against people in the range of 38-48. The problem is that I´m a support player; I put shots inte enemies and try to stay alive as much as possible. I go positive 90% of the games but I never go ~+15. That makes me really dependent on if my teammates are able to hold their own in games since I cant carry them. should i keep the role as a support player or is it worth taking the time switching over to the main slayer role? Second question: My support player role works really good on maps like Snowbound and High Ground because I have some sneaky places to stay at and I´m always having escape routes. The problem is when I play narrows, I´m only having two options when I push from the spawns. I´m always getting trapped somewhere and I´m not having any really good escape routes. How do I run this map? any concrete tips would be really nice. For example: I had huge problems with construct, I was always pushing through open or closed lobby from gold when I was trying to break their lobby setup which most often resulted in me being killed. then I discovered how useful top mid is, I could trap people in lobby when teammates push any of the sides and I could use the bubble shield when I´m one shot. hopefully someone understands my messy foreign late night post. • Okay, let's see here: 1st question: I'm what you might call a "support" player, because I tend to stick with a teammate and help put shots into enemies, which is more or less what you said. However, there's a difference between that being your standard playstyle and saying "this is my role and I should stick to it". That's not a good plan. Like Meagss said: Do whatever it takes to win. Definitely be aggressive when you get the chance; don't be too conservative just because you tend to play passively. If you're being given the chance to push into the enemy spawn and wreck the other team, do it!] 2nd question: Be aggressive on Narrows. The key is to control top mid and trap the enemy spawn. The TS variant sucks because the spawns are dynamic rather than fixed, but it still works pretty well. Fight for top mid control; you can play support pretty easily from there. Hopefully some of this helps. Good luck with Slayer!
