Is This Wrong?
Today at lunch, I told everyone that I sit with, if I happened to have a mentally retarded child, I'd probably give it up for adoption. What is your opinion on this?
I honestly don't think I'd be able to handle and/or take care of a retarded child. And I don't mean physically retarded or slightly mentally challenged, I mean full on non-functional.

You can't tell if it's mentally ill while still in the womb.[/quote]There are multiple tests that can be done to determine whether it has certain genetic mutations that cause mental illnesses. If that was the case, I would definitely abort. With ultrasounds you can also determine whether the growth is normal, stunted or otherwise. There are many things you can know about a baby before they are born.
