After the Human-Covenant War, the UNSC insisted that the Separatist Elites hand over a few planets to compensate for the planets lost int he war. The Elites were smart, and handed over their semi-colonized and non-colonized planets. One of these planets, renamed "New Canaan", was quickly colonized by the UNSC and other organizations. But, this planet had some secrets that the Elites hid from the UNSC. This planet was home to both Loyalist Covenant and Feral/Uncivilized Sangheli groups, and many other dangers. But there are great and expensive resources on the planet.
