This has baffled me forever; all of the Covenant's vehicles are bright glistening purple, and covered with glowing lights. Why do they make no attempt to camouflage themselves, so that they aren't instantly spotted and killed?
Why do Elites wear bright rainbow colours of armour, why would they denote their highest ranking officers with shining gold armour so that they are easy to spot and take out first?
I mean, perhaps this issue is why the UNSC usually won ground battles :P
Although, I'm not complaining, the vibrancy of the Covenant is part of why I love their vehicles and weapons!

The UNSC pretty much always won groundside engagements, battles in space were the only times they ever really lost...where did you get that idea?[/quote] No, he's telling the truth. Spartans were the only ones truly capable of fighting back against covenant ground forces. A single elite major is capable of taking out and entire squad of ordinary marines.
