Feeling pity for tartarus

Am I the only one who feels a little sorry for Tartarus in a way? He's basically a confused character who is so intrenched into the prophets beliefs he would rather die than have to accept them as false, I saw brotherhood however small it may be between him and arbiter, even if it was only created by membership to the covenant and it's ideals... It seem to me when presented with the truth by oracle he was having an internal conflict... I don't feel really bad for killing him as arbiter but I still feel pity for the character, his pride and investment in the covenant caused the soab to "let the great journey begin" Aka knowingly kill everything... I'm kinda disappointed they didn't bring him back as a flood boss in halo 3, Imagine the grave mind speaking through a flood version of Tartarus...

 •
Posted by: CmdrScott1701 What I feel sorry about is that after his death, his Captains began calling themselves chieftains and became degenerate and lame in Halo 3.
Welcome back Commander! I agree. He was nothing like this in-game. Of course, Captain Chieftains were much worse, utilizing the cheapest armor I've ever seen.
