Should "better" members be recognised?

By "better" I refer to members (or groups of members) who make contributions to the community. For instance, by the way they post, sharing their artwork, stories, organising game nights, etc... Why not have a way of identifying the role models in this community?

 • There is an issue with that kind of publicity though, one that I myself am fairly used to observing from the opposite end of the spectrum. You can deny it when I say it, but what happens when you Ninjas post in a thread? What happens when an Employee does it? You know, I know. The posts of the lesser/ newer members are lost in the sea of data flow, and no one seemingly cares that they had anything to stay at all. If this were to happen, it would be similar to that. People show preference to those who show accomplishment or achievement, and you are kind of just asking for that to occur on a more frequent basis than it already does when something of this sort is implemented. Besides, I hate to say it, but we wouldn't even need for a way to show it on this site. It already happens. We are a close-knit community, people usually know regardless about who is successful and who isn't.
