New Halo 2 Maps are Here!
The new Halo 2 maps are here. Bug fixes, workarounds and more - for folks having troubles, inside.

this is pissing me off so much.. this "INSTALLATION OF CONTENT ERROR" is making me hate my life. i just wanna play the new maps...it let my friends w/ 360's dl them but noyt mee.. -blam!- bull-blam!-

So thats about all that it should take message me if you have any questions Im happy to help.[/quote] Yeah, one of the things that customer service has told people to do is to either clear their cache (XX LB RB XX) or delete all of their Halo 2 data from the HDD. AFTER a week of trying i win i got the maps. IF ANY OF U R HAVING TROUBLE DO THE FOLLOWING( This is what XBL Support told me to btw I called ever other da since Tuesday and today is the first time they told me this) on ur 360 go to systen on the dashbord then click on memory hit Y then hit XX leftbutton rightbutton XX then hit accept. Then start halo 2 up get the update then go back to ur dash board go to manage account go to memberships hit payment options and click on the credit card u have for ur account again then start halo 2 again and dl the maps. well i downloaded the maps in about 20 minutes and didnt have a problem at all also im really glaad they brought back hang em high , thank you bungie and keep up the good work

I just tried again @ 7pm CT & it still didn't work. Something that I've noticed is that sometimes at the LIVE menu there is an arrow icon next to CONTENT & other times there is not. I don't know why the "new content" arrow is there sometimes & not others, maybe they're rotating servers by region or something. *shrugs shoulders* I'll try again tonight @ 9pm CT.

Well, I tried at 6am CT and 11am CT and its still not working for me. I'm still getting the INSTALLATION FAILED thing. In the Weekly Update Bungie said people should be able to get it today. I was hoping it'd work since I was trying during off-peak-hours. I'll try again tonight around 9 and see how that works out. Its good that some of you have been able to get the maps this weekend, that shows some progress.

yeah, I get the same message... install failed!!! F-n lame! My husband has an old xbox and downloaded them on Wednesday no problem, I've been trying at least 5-10 times a day on the 360. Thank god I didn't waste any time calling xbox live. I guess it will work out eventually, I've tried everything from deleting all my halo2 game stuff to double checking all the info on my "xbox live approved" router. All this for halo 3 and halo 4 will probably come out on the lame xbox elite....

Well I tried matchmaking earlier on and I got in with no problem. But, I didnt play on the new maps during those games. So, I dont know. Maybe's things will be working much smoother after the ranks have been reset and all the problems with the map downloads have been fixed. In the meantime, Im gonna get some work for college done and get my application for university sent off. Then, by the time I get back on (which will hopefully be next weekend), the stats will be reset and I can get down to some seriouse gaming with some mates and get our ranks back up. (Yes, I have LOTS of college work to do, serves me right for getting to stuck into Elder Schrolls: Oblivion. Oh'well, what can ya do)

They did not worked at 3am this morning when I was turning in, but they are working now. So, to those of youwho couldnt download em yesterday, I suggest that you try to get them after reading this messege. If it fails, well, I guess you will have to wait until Monday. Good Luck Guys

Yeah, i have tried prolly 20-30 times to download, it won't go. It starts our right but then goes right to the end and states, "Installation of content failed. See www.xbox.com for more support information. I was on the phone with Xbox live support for more then an hour yesterday and they just told me to send in my 360. Bungie WHY?! please help...

It's probably a busy server issue, now. I finally got the maps to download on my original XBox last night. Took a coupla days (and very very early mornings) of trying for it to finally register the "Purchased" status. But, MS Live support also got the "Premium Purchases are not allowed" cleared up on my account. It took a few tries yesterday evening before I got a solid connection to the download, but it finally caught. And... they only charged me ONCE!!! Even after all the attempts I made to give them my money!

I know i purchased it cause i checked my credit card, but i won't have to keep purchasing it will i?
