Anybody ever fail a 5 credit college class?

Well my procrastination and laziness has caught up to me and it looks like I'm going to get a D. For Engineering, I have to get a C in this useless class for me to get the diploma. So what I'm wondering is. How bad does it look if I retake the class? Am I going to get screwed? Will I still be able to graduate in 4 years? I can handle taking extra classes if it means graduating in 4 years. I just need the reassurance from other college folks. My girlfriend is telling me not to sweat it.

 •
Posted by: Toxifies Hey, what's speech about anyway? I'm taking that class next semester. My girlfriend is literally like my organizer I would have no idea what classes to choose if it wasn't for her. Anyway she told me I had to take this class and signed me up for it. Is it about public speaking or something?
Essentially. It's basically about the basics of researching, writing, and giving a speech. You'll typically have to give an introductory speech (about yourself), an informative speech about a topic, and a how-to speech. I also had to do a tribute/eulogy speech, but the format of the class will obviously vary by school/course. My wife, as a business major, had to take a business-oriented speech course instead and their assignments were related to the business world (e.g. make up a product and give a presentation about it). It can be a lot of fun once you get over the nervousness that comes with speaking in front of a group.
