Halo 2 PC multiplayer not working correctly.

Whenever I try to use quick match, the game responds with a matchmaking timed out error. When I try to join a game using the server browser, I can only join empty dedicated servers. Please help however you can. Thanks

I've seen others suggest it to me before, but never tried it myself. I will try, but it looks a little confusing to me. Thanks!
