Halo 4 came out on November 6th. We're not on December 6th yet, and there are already SR-130s playing around.
And remeber that the daily experience limit was raised, which means people could probably reach max rank in 3 weeks or less now.

Unfortunately rank means nothing in Halo 4. I didn't get much online with Halo 3 so I can't speak much for it, but with reach you got credits based on performance and true dedication got you a high rank. Now I feel it is safe to say that your rank in Halo reach is based on just the simple fact of playing. Winning a match might grant you anywhere from 700-300 xp, but if you play a whole game you will get basically the same amount each time whether you do good or bad. If you have fast track on you will be getting 3000-3600 for a victory even if you did terrible. All rank means is you have been in a handful of matches. I am like 75, no pride whatsoever for mine. I'd be one of those level 100 people if it weren't for the fact that I take breaks from the game to play others once ina while.
