Deep storyline
What book/movie/video game have you seen the deepest storyline you know in? I just wondered. Mine's the quite simple Halo storyline, and yet is the deepest I've seen!

Chrono Cross, an awesome rpg (if you like rpgs) with an awesome storyline. It doesnt get better till later in the game, but it will forever leave a mark on me.

im 14 and completely understand the LOTR, Harry Potter, Halo, Giver, and whatever other book you can dish out. By the way, the deepest book ive ever read would have to be Halo FS and the Giver. The Giver is a really awesome book thats takes place at least 3-5 centuries in the future. This is the most mysterious and emotional book ive read besides Halo FS By the way, i might check out that Dune series [Edited on 9/17/2004 11:47:46 AM]

Dune shouldn't be too much of a problem to tackle early on. obviously you're going to miss out on some of the deeper issues, but it's still graspable. even Dune Messiah is that way. Children of Dune started getting complicated for me, and God Emperor Dune just got worse in that respect. i started reading Heretics of Dune and was thoroughly convinced that i was destined to live out the rest of my days as a garbage man (no offense to any garbage men out there). a year later i finished it. then i picked up Chapterhouse: Dune and went through the same garbage man doubts.

It doesn't shune or destroy any religions, it actually shows a interesting way of how a religion would evolve, like the fremen they have a desert version of the Orange Catholic Bible. Which is one of the new christian based religions. Which is interpetted completely differently by other. [Edited on 9/15/2004 4:28:12 PM]

Sounds like it definitely has religious references. I am religious, so I don't like things that use religion to make things up. I hope that made sense! (I am aware that there are religious references in Halo, by the way, but they're subtle.) [Edited on 9/15/2004 4:26:18 PM]

It is a large series so there are many plots but, there is a thing called spice it is a substance grown in only one place Arrakis(Dune) it allows for safe interplanetary travle and is one of the most expensive means of commerce. So here is lots of plots evolving that. But the first book is about this one boy named Paul who becomes a Messiah for a desert people called the fremen i don't want to give to much away.

I can read epistemologies with total focus, but oftentimes I find myself day dreaming while reading fiction.

Lol, i always enjoyed reading so a good book even at a young age always caught my attention. Even now if i am reading say the time is 12;00 i think a hours passed, it is now 4:00.

It is a science fiction book series, it has mythology, evolution, religion, spiritual, military elements and also really deep characters and storylines, not for the light reader.
