Why did you choose your username?

I'm bored, so here's a pretty simple thread. What does your username mean and why did you decide to choose it for Bungie.net? Is your username consistent across other forums/sites? My username is pretty obvious... I was born in '93. I made it almost 5 years ago and kinda regret it. The lack of a capital "J" and "R" has always kinda irritated me. If I could change it today, I'd change it to "Jake_93" or something like that.

  • Prometheus, in Greek mythology, was a figure that embodied the concepts of foresight, self-sacrifice, and knowledge, traits that I try to use in my every day decision making. Furthermore, one particular story tells of Prometheus stealing fire (which is often interpreted as symbolizing knowledge, intellect, and technology) from the gods and passing it on to humans. I've always liked and identified with this story, as much of my life has been geared towards the pursuit of science and helping those around me. I love Greek mythology, and when I decided to pick a name 8 years ago, I wanted a name rooted in this field. I stumbled upon the story of Prometheus in high school and have loved it ever since. If only I didn't have to use numbers at the end....
